I upgraded from an old generator that I converted to tri fuel that just doesnt have enough power to backup my whole house, and what an upgrade this is. Easy to setup, started using the propane with remote start on first attempt, tons of features and the power output is fantastic. Really looks and operates like a next gen product compared to the traditional style gas generator. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking at having a real home backup power solution but that doesnt want to install a traditional fixed in place type solution.

Simple set up, Started 1st try with Remote Start, Dual fuel option is very convenient, 50amp plug is perfect for whole home power to include running a 4 ton A.C. start up, utilizing an Micro Air Easy Start to lower start up amps. Good investment for peace of mind plus 3yr warranty, makes for an excellent purchase to be ready for ERCOT rolling blackouts.

Documentation for setting up the generator were detailed and clear. After following directions, unit started the first time. Unit also has a number of safety features I did not find on other units. Power is in the middle between a small unit and a permanent generator (on-pad). The weight (253#) makes it portable enough to use at other locations as well as for the home. I was surprised by the relatively small size of the generator for what it provides.

I finally decided to buy a generator in case of a hurricane , and I'm glad i went with the Westinghouse wgen9500df. I havent used it due to the hurricane but I have briefly used it for a day or two just to run it. It is easy to use and seems to be just what I need.

I last purchased a backup generator in 1999 for Y2K. I didn't use it for the end of earth that our techies worried about, but the regular power outages we get several times of year. Electronic start rarely worked, gas tank too small for a 7500 W unit, and the power was anything but clean. The WGen9500DF has the promised power, is easy to start with a pull, the electronic start/fob both work reliably in cold weather and the unit's gas tank easily get's me through the day as the fob allows me to start and stop unit without going outside. We bought this Generator for the upcoming Winter season and for any power outages that may become a surprise. This Generator is a BEAST! Ran some tests with it and took it like a champ! Construction and Quality look outstanding! I have read reviews about Westinghouse and they are in my opinion # 1 over the other brands out there. This Generator will give me a peace at mind for years to come.

Arrived on time in perfect shape. Setup and assembly was a snap. Documentation for unit very thorough and well-done and inclusive. Great features. Love that this generator is smaller, but more powerful, than my old generator. Performs as advertised.

Bought this at the beginning of summer in order to ready for what has become annual multiple Public Safety Power Shutoffs. They last two to three days. We have also experienced one or two multi-day outages during each snow season here in the Sierra Foothills. We bought the generator from a local vendor and they delivered it all set up and ready to go. Had to have an electrician install a transfer box. We not only need the power to run our appliances and lights, but our well water is dependent on electrical power, as is our septic system. It works great!! We chose propane so we wouldn't have to wait in long, long lines that appear at the gas station every time their is a large power outage. One complaint: It is very difficult to drain the oil in order to change it. On my first try I made a mess on the floor next to the machine. I'm trying to jury-rig something to catch the oil and move it safely to a storage container. Westinghouse should either rethink the design so there is room to get it out safely, or provide some kind of adapter to get the oil past the obstructions.

Our Westinghouse 14500TFc generator arrived the other day and tested it out. We used the Nat Gas hookup we just had installed as fuel and it worked great. Easy, no gasoline or propane to mess with unless we have to. And in the future, no trips to the gas station, no 3AM filling or having to burn out the unused. It powered the whole house plus air conditioning too. Ha! Actually looking forward to the power going out just to use it. Well constructed and quite heavy, but moves easily with the no pump tires. Nice. A little bit noisier than our last and smaller generator but nothing unexpected. Quite long hoses for the electric and nat gas. I didn't measure them but surprised how far I can put it from the house. We're very happy with our purchase.

Excellent Generator, starts easy, runs great , very reliable. 50 amps can run an RV or house a/c or electric water. My second geni from Westinghouse. Sold old and upgraded to 12000 Watts and electric start. Has a key fob, oh my can start from bed in morning.
