Works Great

I bought this a month ago and it was easy to put together. My electrician wired a 50 amp transfer switch and we tested it and it ran my furnace, hot water heat pump water heater, microwave, fridge and well all at once with power left to spare. Highly recommended.

Very Excited About This Purcharse

This is the first generator we buy in preparation for hurricane season. We received it super quick and turned it on for a few hours. Works great so far. I love the fact that I can turn it on with a button. It also has a remote control. Honestly hoping not to have to use it but I feel safe that we have it.

Convenient, great features.

I am replacing a 20 year old generator with similar capacity. The remote start feature is what convinced me to get this unit. Also, compared to my old generator, the battery is located much better for service, and the control panel has more information. Dual fuel capability is nice. It is refreshing to get a well-written owners manual with good English. It is louder than my old generator for no good reason that I can see except lazy design -- that is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

What a generator

We have a 1500 sq ft house. this unit will run just about everything except our heat pump. We have never owned a generator before. We decided to upgrade our electrical panel this winter while doing it we asked our electrician about adding a inlet box for a generator and what kind he recommended? I gave him a list of 3 or 4 I was considering. He hands down said the Westinghouse was the brand he would use. I'm glad he did and I would also recommend it to anyone also. It is very convenient to have dual fuel and also the remote start is a plus!

Great Tool

We live and have a shop in a rural area that has had power outages on several occasions. We have been planning for some time to purchase a generator. After many hours of investigation we decided to go for the Westinghouse dual fuel generator. We are extremely happy with the generator. Not only is it beautiful, it is powerful, efficient and as quiet as any generator we have seen.

Built with Care

Purchased this to replace our 15+ year-old Coleman generator that froze during Hurricane Ian recovery (Fall of 2022). This generator has more options for starting and fuel sources that makes it a must during such times. (i.e. gasoline not readily available but tanks of propane were on hand). Mechanically: the welds are smooth and secure; paint shows no over-spray; and feels solid as a rock when tipped end to end for inspection. Additionally the unit, started right up w/o delay using propane as the fuel source. Very happy with our purchase and expect to get many years of service from this one.

Fantastic

I ordered the generator 1 week ago today. Today I received it. I put the wheels and front supports on, put oil in engine and connected the battery. I checked the whole machine over real good and never found anything wrong. I hook the propane tank to it and then got the key fob insinc with the generator and it started right up. I ran it for the 5 hour break in time the company recommends at less than half load. I did put a little extra load from time to time also. I let cool down for about 3 hours, started it back up hooked my air compressor to it, I ran a skill saw and a bench grinder all at the same time. I honestly believe this is going to be the generator I need to power my house when the power goes out. I would recommend this Westinghouse generator to anyone looking to buy a generator.

Fantastic capacity

Bought online last day of May. Was at my house in 7-10 days just as stated. Had my first opportunity to put it through its paces 3rd week in June for a 5 day period. Wow! Handled BOTH AC units, ceiling fan, and "auto" on fridge, AND, kept my batteries way up which is a welcome change, from my 21 yr old 3820w (continuous) unit. Noise level is what it is, though I yearned for some engineering miracle that would put it in the low 60's or high 50's db range; it is actually a tiny bit quieter than the old unit. Robust frame and wheel dimensions/axles. Fits in my 5th wheel pass through with room to spare though it is a must for two adults to lift in and out. (definitely not my wife as one). Starting with either electric start method is a breeze and functions as I was expecting. Haven't attempted the pull start or the propane options as of yet. Impressed that it comes with, though basic in manufacture, tools to 1) add oil w/o spilling 2) Spark plug wrench, and 3) Tool to tighten the propane hose. Comes with easy to decipher maintenance/ operation instructions, and a resealable zip lock bag to keep it in. I rated it 4 stars for 2 reasons. First and the biggest for me, is, each time I had to plug a 120v cord in either outlet, I have to push in the reset button on the GFCI, which both are, and it is annoying that is in the process of using it, ESPECIALLY when I have to remove gloves to get to the small reset. Not sure if it is supposed to be this way, but no other GFCI protected outlet I've ever used does that. Second, is the db output of 72. I don't pretend to be an engineer, but being a 30 year industrial mechanic leads me to believe that it can be improved upon without sacrificing output. My "cons" are more on the side of preference and convenience, and do not reach towards performance in any way. Time will tell if it will durable like my last generator, and if some trouble raises its ugly head, but thus far I would recommend this versatile unit, no hesitations.

priced well for dual fuel 50 amp backup generator

This generator has the power and dual fuel features I'm looking for to run a portion of my house during power outages and will connect to a 50 amp transfer switch. I have assembled and started the generator on gasoline with no issues. The quart of oil received with the generator was not enough to bring the oil level to the recommended level. I've not tested the propane fuel or really the generator with any load to speak of. It runs smooth, but is pretty loud. My only complaint so far is the packaging. The staples in the product box scratched through the paint on the frame in many places - very annoying.

Looks great and lots of features

Just bought this unit, but haven't had a chance to try it out fully yet. Looking forward to trying out all of the different features for different uses. Live in a hurricane area so want something dependable. Would update review once I get to test it.
