I purchased this generator 12-31-21. I had not had a chance to start it up until yesterday, 02-02-22. At first, the unit would not start. I did add only about 1/2 a gallon of gas and about half of the 1.1 10w30 oil provided with the unit. I made sure , for a second time, that I had followed all of their starting instructions. Added at least 4 more gallons of gas and filled the unit with oil. Tried the unit again and it started. I have not plugged in any outlets or anything to the unit and am planning on doing this within the next couple of days. Despite the unit box being damaged upon receipt. The only visible damage was to the sticker on the frame and nothing else. Due to the damaged box upon receipt, I am giving a 4 star rating otherwise it would have more than likely been a 5.

Just recently delivered 2 Days ago, which was ahead of schedule and I did not expect that at all.. 5 star on Delivery. Set up was simple and straight forward, pretty basic. Only had time for an initial first startup. First try was with the remote, no go. Second with the push button, was a no start. Third was with manual choke and recoil, fired right up.. Ran for a long warm up and shut down. Tried the remote again with no luck? Used the push button auto start/stop this time fired up,,, so will have to spend some more time during break-in on starting. I did not try and start using LP as of yet. Have to get through the holidays for that test! Will update in the near. But we are overall happy with our purchase so far, But,, too early in the game to comment on reliability/ dependability/ running abilities as of now..

Simply put, I've done the research & just buy a Westinghouse. I've watched the YouTube videos, I asked my FIL, and I asked a buddy of mine who works in construction. Fellas, just buy this one--don't look elsewhere. It powers my entire house minus the HVAC & stove, but hey, in emergency situations (like when it snows once a year here in the south) I ain't complaining bout that.

Bought original generator almost 11 months ago based on features and reviews. Frame was damaged as received, smashed into the gas tank - so never started it. Westinghouse replaced unit which was much appreciated, just received it - will supply more data after unit is utilized.

We comfort and now have confidence we will have a reliable back if web lose power for an extended period. The Westinghouse 9500 Generator will power our essential need during an outage. Easy to install. Easy to use. Push button start/stop, key phob for remote start/stop. This generator, the house name and quality of Westinghouse give us assurance and a level of confort that we arw ready and prepared for protection during an extended power outage. An aside, it is portable and available for family outing and camp outs.

Just started yesterday. Initially, I forgot to open the fuel valve, went back to the manual and locate it; no problem. This is a very smooth machine. All controls and warnings are marked very well. It is heavier than it looks in the videos. I will need somebody to help me to move the machine to the site where I am going to keep it. Looking forward to a power cut now.

Been in the market for a semi-powerful generator for a while. I wanted it to be easy enough for myself and wife to operate, yet powerful enough to handle some serious business. Electric start was definitely a must. This unit comes with a remote start as well, which I considered a bonus and great addition. The price dropped considerably on Prime Day for this unit, so I pulled the trigger. The unit arrived two weeks later, bright and early. I expected the box to be beat to death but to my surprise, it was all intact. It's a heavy unit but not as heavy as I expected. Looks very well constructed. I followed the directions in the manual & test fired it with gas and propane and the unit fired right up with no problems. The first crank with the electric start did nothing. It stopped cranking on it's own and automatically tried again. It fired right up! I let it run for a moment, then shut it down. I started it with the remote. Again the first crank was unsuccessful. But it stopped cranking, then automatically tried again. It fired up!! The unit came with everything you need to get started except fuel. It even comes with a funnel for the included quart of oil and a trickle charger for the battery. I find it to be somewhat quieter than other generators I've been around of this type. Currently happy with this purchase & I hope I never need to use it. I can't speak to longevity just yet, as I just received. I'll update this review if need be when an emergency requires use or otherwise. So far seems like a great Generator for the price point.

I bought this last week as a portable back up. We live in VT in the woods and over the last couple of years our power has been going out alot more and for longer periods of time. Pick it up, very easy instructions assemble the wheels to it, add your oil which came with it, fuel source either propane or gasoline. Thats it started right up. Let it warm up couple of minutes put couple loads to it no issues. So far very happy.

Bought this unit to supply power to essential appliances in case of power failure for extended periods and to power the camper when using it off grid. Everything seems to be working fine for now, however I have not tested this product extensively or for prolonged periods of time. So far I am pleased with this product.

Simple to setup. As advertised features and accessories provided. First gas fill drips/splash (nearly inevitable without out-of-norm measures) left visible markings in the flat black painted gas tank even when cleaned immediately. I realize it's a tool, but a bit disappointing when it hadn't even been started yet. Will know more of capability after first use, and reliability after some long run hours with multiple events.
