We've been through two storms leaving us without power for days and our new Westinghouse 9500DF is so powerful, we'll be able to run most of the house in the next storm. Set up was easy and runs so easily. Easy to transport. Love the dual fuel options.

Our generator was delivered yesterday, within the window of time that was given. They unloaded it right into our garage, so we didn't have to move it ourselves. Instruction were easy to follow, all necessary parts were included. My husband assembled and charged it up and today it started with one push of the start button. Ran it for about 30 minutes with no issues so far. We plan to have a transfer switch added to our circuit breaker box so we can plug the generator directly into our electrical system. I can't say how it will handle the load, (reason for the 4 stars) but we are very impressed with how easy this thing is to use. It is heavy, but with the wheels I can maneuver it around with some effort on the driveway. Love the dual fuel option.

Love remote start sturdy construction of unit. Need clearer instructions re wheel assembly and receptacle operation. Better illustration how to assemble wheels and need to stand generator on end to assemble both wheels. Better directions clearly stating that main circuit breaker must be in on position for receptacles to work. My unit was in the off position . Reference to output ready LED in owners manual but cannot find this LED on generator control panel.

Received this generator yesterday. It took me about 30 minutes to unbox, install the wheels and rubber supports opposite the wheels, add oil, add gasoline and reread instructions on operation. Started up perfectly and I ran it about an hour and tested some power tools in my garage. Everything I tested work flawlessly. Have not tried propane yet as I will do that do in the next couple days. Manual states to break it in about 4 or 5 hrs and not to exceed a certain load during this time. There is nothing that I can say bad about it. Remote start/stop fob works great. Now to purchase fuel stabilizer and a couple more 5 gallon gas cans. Also will be installing direct connect to home electric with help from electrician friend. Will provide future updates.

Just bought this in time for delivery DURING a power outage in Sonoma County. Had all the cables to hook it up, setup was extra simple since they improved the battery connection method (no screwdriver required). Ran like a champ and powered everything in the kitchen and pantry; freezer, wine cooler, cooktop, stove hood, .... The remote was nice when it came time to shut it down after power came back; there was plenty to do inside before I had time to go out and turn off the battery power on the generator.

I bought this generator in May when I moved into our new home. Although I haven't had a chance to really test it out (thankfully we haven't lost power yet), I did get it all set up and ready to go. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the "remote control" fob for the unit. What a great addition to an already great product. Once I charged up the battery for awhile, I did a test start, and the generator powered right up. I'm excited to see it in action!

shipping was quicker than expected box was a little torn up upon arrival but no damage that i have found. great looking and running product once i got it running. it will not fire up on the first few cycles even after you have run it a while is my biggest complaint. other than that its a good unit.

I've wanted a duel fuel generator for a couple years. Our remote location as well as some of the recent ice / thunderstorms made me decide it was time. After researching several brands I landed on the Westinghouse 9500DF. It arrived today. It's well packed and came with the propane hose and even oil, which I didn't expect. Now-a-days it seems like products are shipped with teh bare basics, leaving you to run to the hardware store. That's not the case here. I also read the manual, and I have to say it's one of the better I've received in awhile. It even has a valve lash gap spec and maintenance procedure. Overall the first impression is very positive. I need to fuel up and getting it running through the break-in process.

I bought this generator to power my home in the event of a power outage. With 9500 running watts on gas and 8500 running watts on propane it will give me some flexibility in case I run out of gas. I intend to use the generator to power my circuit breaker panels directly using an interlock system so I can have the option to power anything in the house. So far, I have only run the generator for 15 to 20 minutes for initial start up out of the box, and have only tested it on a few household items. Only put about 1500-2000 Watts of load on it so far for the test, but it ran and provided power with no issues. I tested most of the features: push button start, remote start, and switched between gas and and propane. Everything worked without issue. One thing to note on initial startup was using the push button start will automatically start the generator, but it may take a few attempts. I had to push the button twice before it started. This was most likely just due to gas having to go through the fuel lines to the carburetor for the first time. Every time after initial startup, it would start right up with no issues. The generator also comes with a charger for the battery which plugs directly into the front of the generator. This is a great feature especially if the generator is sitting for a while in the cold. Being able to put the battery on a trickle charge will ensure it will start up when you need it. Unfortunately, I was unable to connect the generator to my house and test it yet since I still need to alter my electrical panel to make this happen. So far this generator meets my needs and I recommend it for anyone looking for emergency home power.

Out of the box no damage. Started right up on both fuel types. Runs great. No noticeable voltage drop running basic power tools. MultiMeter reads 122 volts, ran skill saw 0 voltage drop on 50 foot cord. I'm sure everything else including RV will do just fine
