I've been thinking about upgrading my old generator for awhile and finally did it, and I'm sure glad I did... this Westinghouse is really impressive! I just finished unpacking and prepping it and it started right up. It's a 9500w and my old one was only 5500w, so I was afraid it might be a lot louder... it's actually quieter! Well made with lots of nice features - I'm really happy with it.

I recently took delivery of a WGEN9500DF and am completely pleased with it. The advertisements praising its abilities are accurate and the ease of operation is very simple. The unit powers my 2300 sq. ft. house with ease while being very fuel efficient and queit. I have already recommended the unit to my neighbors and friends.

Although I have not had an outage that required us to use the generator yet compared to other options I considered this product offers a good combination of features at a competitive price. The unit was well packaged and included all the items needed to get the unit ready for service. Assembly was limited and simple. Product instructions were clearly written. The unit started readily and was able to power our central HVAC unit with ease simultaneously with a few other critical service items.

After researching for over a year we landed on the Westinghouse 9500DF. It's versatile using both gas and propane, compact for the output and is easy to maintain. We have it connected to the house with a 50A transfer switch so it only takes a minute to set up and can handle the load of most of the house, minus the Central heat/air.

I saved a ton not going the Genrac route. Unless you live where power outages are frequent, getting this generator is a nice trade-off. After extensive testing, I confirmed both my heat pump, well pump, and lights can operate simultaneous running on propane fuel. That was convincing enough for me. My original plan was to use gas, because at this time of writing it is ~30% cheaper per BTU compared to propane. But given I have a large buried propane tank, I'll settle on the more expensive fuel due to convenience, not having to store large quantities of gas, and dealing with old stale gas for emergencies. If I was able to siphon gas out of my vehicle this would be a different story. But most vehicles today have anti-siphon tanks. To feed my electrical panel, I installed a UL approved lock-out device to back feed. My recommendation is NOT to buy one of those knockoff versions which are not UL approved for your panel. In case of fire or some insurance claim, you do not want have an illegal electrical panel setup. Allowance varies from state to state, check with your electrician. But if you can legally do this, it is far cheaper than installing a switch panel and it feeds all your circuits instead of just a few, providing you do not exceed 9.5KW.

I been needing a good generator and I studied for weeks and went with the Westinghouse Generator cause it had the best reviews and all the features that I needed. It for emergency times and I feel confident that it will provide plenty of energy for when that day comes . I will run it once I get my propane tanks this week. This generator has everything I needed for a home backup generator. Dual fuel, four 120-amp outlets, and one each of 30/50 amp and equipped with electric or manual start. This generator weighs over 200 lbs, but I found it easy to move around due to the heavy-duty handle and wheels. The first time I started the generator our local outside temperature was well below freezing. It fired up immediately. I tested it out with a few different power tools without any issues. I could not be happier with this purchase.

Although I'm still in the break in period this thing has handled everything I've thrown at it. Not supposed to go over 50% load in the first 5 hours but so it has ran great, started every time and powered everything I need it to. The solid wheels are large and help me move this around my property with ease. Instructions are very thorough and easy to read and had it set up and running in 30 minutes. Great generator and well worth the money!

Easy Assembly. About 15 minutes to unbox, read instructions, install wheels, front rubber feet, plugin battery, pour oil in the engine, fuel up and started with one push of the button. Well built heavy generator, but with sturdy fold away handle and wheels it can be moved by one person. It runs well and is easy to operate. Runs on gasoline or propane. I have only used propane so far as there are no storage issues with it. And it burns cleaner with no dirty carb issues etc. Thanks for a great machine

This is a well made generator for whole house backup. It is pretty easy to setup. It has the outlet covers on all inputs, which is critical if you live near the ocean. The wireless function is cool. Would have given five stars but one of the nuts on the leg assembly was stripped, so I had to tap the nut to attach one of the legs.
