Once I added fuel and oil it started up right away. tested with an electric heater and spotlights. Worked fine for that but will need to test again sometime under full load. One thing I'll add is that the website is problematic. On chrome it wouldn't accept my email and on safari it won't let my agree to terms and conditions.

We bought this for hurricane season and had everything set up to connect directly to the house. The first big storm knocked our power out but we were up and running again in minutes. No more yanking on a cord til my arms give out, just a simple press of a button and the whole house was all set.

The box arrived without any dings and the generator itself was in perfect condition. The unit came with oil and a filler, spark plug wench, wrench for the legs, battery charger, propane hose and of course the wheels and front supports. Set up was easy and it started right up and ran the first time with no issues using the propane (I don't plan on using gas unless I have to). It's not quiet but I didn't expect it to be either. My only complaint is they only provide just enough oil to get it to the 'low' end of the stick. You'll need to add about another 1/3 quart of oil. Other than that, I'm very pleased with the unit so far. Oh, don't forget to push the GFCI buttons on the 110 outlets if they don't appear to work initially.

I bought the 9500DF to provide a backup source of power for our home....just in case. Have run it several time to test the dual fuel features and am happily impressed. Love the remote start feature. Knowing it's a Westinghouse product from a US company with a stellar reputation, I can rest easy and check of one more major emergency preparedness to-do from the checklist.

We live in rural area where power goes down often. We waited to start this until we had switch installed by electrician to be able to do so safely. Once done this generator, on propane would run our fridge, our freezer and 2 electric heat panels. I am impressed and delighted and know if we need it. We are going to be warm and safe.

The generator started immediately, right out of the box. I ran it for over an hour, just to test it. It powered the whole house, no problem. I ran it up to 46 amps at 240V, almost full load, with no problem. Noise level is reasonable, for a gen of this size.

After researching emergency generators, I decided on this one. So far, great choice. Assembly took 20 minutes, including filling wit fuel and oil. Plugged in battery and started almost immediately. Haven't gotten it hardwired in yet, but the unit itself is excellent.

I received the generator on 10/6/22, unboxed, assembled, connected battery charger. Four hours later I started the generator with no issue. I have attempted to start the generator 3 times since and each time the battery has been dead. I am hoping this will be addressed in a warranty claim. Overall seems like a very good generator.

Generator works great after I finally got it to start. Surprisingly, it starts quicker on propane than it does gas. I drained the battery trying to start it on gas (over 50 degrees outside) with choke and no choke, so I'm thankful it comes with a trickle charger that can be left plugged in overnight. I finally hooked up a propane bottle and it fired up immediately (no choke) at 33 degrees. Once started on propane, I have had no problems starting and running on either propane or gas - it definitely needs to be choked for cold starting on gas. The remote start is nice but I'll probably never use it - my wife will, lol! The enclosed operating manual is easy to follow. It is also a very simple 10 - 12 minute procedure to change the bonded ground wire on the inside of the alternator if needed as we did here at the ranch because of the GFCI plugs. After we got it up and running, we methodically started turning things on in the house without any issues. We have a 3300 sq. ft. (3 BR, 3 bath) house and ran the freezer and refrigerator, fire place blower/fan, had a light on in every room, a light in three closets, a light in all three bathrooms, and ran two electric space heaters, TV and the microwave - never had an issue. This unit is easily set up within minutes. I really only have two issues: 1) It was very hard to get started on gas the first time so I recommend starting on propane and you can easily switch from propane to gas and gas to propane while running, and; 2 (It takes forever to fill up because the screen on the fuel tank is so restrictive. That being said, after running now for two days, I would likely buy this product or one size bigger if I need another one. Quick and easy to put the wheels and feet on the unit. Mac at the ranch

I have had this generator for almost a year now. We just had a big storm. The power been out for four days now. I have been running the generator for about twelve hours a day. Has not used any oil. Gas tank is plenty big so it could run all day without refueling plenty of power to run my well pump, septic pump and the whole house. I have 200 amp service.
