After recent major power outages we had due to a tornado,I was looking for a generator with enough power to run my house and I chose this model for two important reasons:first it was affordable and second I saw this model in action and I was impressed.This generator was able to run two walk in freezers which saved a lot of food products from going bad, fans , lights, etc. I ordered this one a week ago and I picked it up today. I am almost done installing the electrical inlet and the interlock for my panel and after the plumber installs the quick connect for natural gas I will be prepared in case we have other power outages.Forgot to mention that the generator comes with a propane hose and a natural gas hose.

Just received this generator and I am pleased with its construction. After much research I believe that this unit will be just the backup power supply to meet my energy needs for my house during outages. The remote start seems like it will be very useful in cold weather.

Bought this generator just so I can be prepared in the event of an emergency. The unit fired right up after unpacking and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is. Also really like the duel fuel option, so much easier to store propane. This unit will easily handle my fridge, freezer and water pump in the event of a power outage. Glad I chose Westinghouse, awesome piece of equipment.

Just got my transfer switch wired up to the house and gave it a test run. Powers everything as a home backup that I need it to. Probably can run central AC but don't think it's wise to. Instead have a couple portable AC units to move about the house. Besides that it handles the water heater and appliances like a champ. Not super quiet but got a 40' long 50 amp cable to move it far from the house. Well done Westinghouse. Killer price point.

The machine arrived in a very beaten-up box (probably outside the control of tthe manufacturer) but seemed to be undamaged. However, the inside of the box was saturated with crankcase oil., requiring a lot of cleanup before assembly of the wheels and testing. I found the manual to be rather poorly organized, although complete enough. A table of specifications would be nice---the crankcase capacity is mentioned only as an aside to the oil change procedure on page 23, although filling with the (included) oil should be one of the very first steps. And the crankcase calls for 1.2 quarts of oil, so the oil it was shipped with was not enough for a first fill! This is not the machine for someone innocent of engine maintenance!

Dual fuel is a plus for us because our house is heated with propane and we have the option of hooking directly to the home heating supply. Due to past shoulder surgery the electric start was one of the deciding factors for me. The control panel is very well laid out and user friendly. One unexpected feature was the battery charge port with included battery charger for maintaining battery during long term storage.

They have have been doing a lot of power line rerouting in our area and there are many days that the power will be off for several hours while they are working. We got this generator to plug into our homes 50 amp inlet to breaker box as a whole home backup. This has not only powered our 3.5 ton AC, but also many lights, fridge, freezer, wifi and computers. The wireless remote start is also a much appreciated bonus. We love this thing.

I bought this a year and a half ago and finally needed to use it. The battery was dead from storage so I had to crank start it. The propane tank worked great on it however when I switched to gas and turned fuel line in, I couldn't get it to start….Customer support only works M-F 8-4. I read the manual and have no idea what could be wrong.

We moved a year ago where we rarely lost power to somewhere power loss is a regular occurrence. With a well, having power is a must. Our old generator just didn't have the power to run the house and it was super hard to start and get set up. This one has been easy to start and easy to use. So thankful!

I purchased a gasoline Westinghouse generator a few years back and it worked amazingly. I let it go with my house when I sold it so it put me in the market for a new generator. I decided to go with a duel fuel model this time. I plan on never running gasoline through this generator only propane so I will never have issues with fuel going bad when not being used. Westinghouse is the best generator brand you can buy!
