My wife and I have owned several generators in the past for backup power for our home in rural Oregon. By far the Westinghouse WGen9500DF is the best generator we have owned. It has ample power to run our home on gas or propane. The remote start is very very nice. It is very quiet compared to our old generators. The 50 amp service it is superior to the 30 amps on our previous generators. The generator came well packed and undamaged and was very simple to assemble the wheel package. It is a very well engineered unit. We highly recommend this generator.

From reciept of shipment, to start-up, the 9500 is an easy product to set up an use. I chose propane for fuel. If a time comes that I use the generator full time, I may switch to gasoline, but I felt there would be fewer problems with long term storage if I used propane. Yes, you suffer a little power loss with propane, but the engine runs cleaner. No problems with gasoline going bad. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Bought this awhile back and have used it for two power failures in my neighborhood. Ran on regular unleaded gas for several hours without running out. I guess about 10+ hours or more before refilling. Easy to assemble and the built in wheels and foldable handle make it easier to move. This is a heavy generator so if you're a small person, you may need someone to help. I'm 6'2" and it wasn't a problem for me but you will need to take care when moving it as it takes a little strength. Remote star fob is handy but I used the start button.Looking forward to having an electrician install a transfer switch to my house so I can hook up to house using single 50 amp cord to run A/C, fridge and freezer and a few lights without having to run separate cords.

I purchased this to replace a gasoline powered generator. I no longer wanted to do the yearly gas maintenance required and decided to upgrade to a propane generator. We also wanted an electric start model as with advancing age this seemed a wise investment, it comes with a remote start which is a big plus when it's really cold outside. After reading all the reviews this was the model we chose, it arrived in perfect condition and after unpacking found that it was perfect. After reading the manual I called Westinghouse to ask two questions, my hold time was less than 20 seconds and the technician was VERY knowledgeable and polite. Since it just arrived I have not yet had a chance to run the generator but based on the delivery, the service tech. And overall looks like we made a great choice. This is my 4th generator and this looks to be the best one I have owned , it's control panel layout, frame construction and overall appearance plus the little extras like the oil funnel, battery charger and assembly tools just put it over the top.

Bought in early 2021. Very easy to set up and used a few times with propane tanks without trouble. However, the first time with gas, it failed to power up after 10 tries. All steps strictly followed to the dot and only premium gas was used. Frustrating indeed!

I purchased the Westinghouse Dual Fuel Generator and so far I'm very pleased with my purchase. It can run with Propane and Gasoline, lower than expected noise level when the motor is on and other features such as the fob to turn it on and off. Great Westinghouse product.

Bought this machine a few weeks ago and found it very easy to set up and get working. Found this generator relatively quiet compared to Briggs & Stratton it replaced. Very happy with user manual, pretty explicit. I planned to use when power goes out and am using 5w-30 synthetic oil which is good for all temps when I may have to use it. Also, the angled funnel provided made adding engine oil a breeze....and the remote start setup took less than 5min....

Had my house updated as a back-up to run off a generator and this one does the job. Installed a interlock on my breaker panel and use the 50 Amp connection cord to the outside of my house. Can run basically my entire house now in case I lose power. I like to use propane because of the extended life it can be stored. I would recommend this for anyone looking to backup their house. Nice that its portable and easy to wheel around as well.

I just finished setting up this generator an hour ago. The minimal assembly was a breeze. Time from in the box to running was appx. 30 minutes. Packaging to discard was minimal as well. Great looking machine and surprisingly quiet. Remote start and 50 amp connection are just what I was looking for. I do not want to loose power but now we are ready.

I bought this a week ago for when the power goes out. We lost power a few months ago for a few days and lost all the food and it was 48 in the house. We will be able to keep the food in the freezer, hot shower, and heat/AC next time we loose power.
