Everything I need to be prepared

I purchased this unit after reading popular mechanics and educating myself about different types of generators. Losing power for a week from Helene taught me a lot about what I need out of a generator. I had an electrician install an interlock switch and a 50 amp inlet box so I can use my existing breaker panel to choose circuits I need to run during an outage, such as the well pump. The instructions for the generator are easy to follow and the unit fired right up on propane. I like the ability to run on a propane and gasoline, although propane is my preferred fuel due to it running cleaner and storing better. My break in period is complete, and now I'm ready for the next outage!

Dual fuel is the best

I bought this in August to provide backup power to my house. It connects to my Generlink and will provide a full 40 amps to my circuit panel using the 50 amp connection. I plan to run on propane so I don't have to refill the gasoline tank every eight hours.

Great so far

Purchased in may of this year and was hoping I wouldn't need it but I'm glad I purchased it as it flawlessly operated during recent hurricane and provided power for my entire house and well it just wasn't big enough for my ac but we will purchase a small ac just for 1 room soon.

Well manufactured Machine

Assembly was SUPER easy two small legs and two wheels needed to be put on. Added oil and gas, hit the start button and running awesome. Only thing I found to be useless was the remote start. You have to turn the power on for the remote start to work, well the push to start button on the machine is right next to the power on button

As descibed!

I did my homework before buying and everything about the 9500 tri-fuel is acurately described! Easy setup and runs perfect on propane and natural gas. I'm choosing not to use gasoline so not to have to babysit with additives. Great purchase at a great price!

Excellent All-Around Generator

50A output is just what I need for whole house backup power. Being able to run off either propane or gasoline is a huge plus. I have it stored in my shed and will hook up a solar float charger for the battery. It's quieter than I thought it would be.

Great dual fuel generator

I just got the generator delivered and it's the best one I've owned (replacing my old one for one I can hook up to my new 50 Amp generator hookup I had added to my electrical panel). Setup was easy and a quick trial run went effort less. The remote start is great as I normally only need the generator when its cold and snow or sleet brought down the powerlines. This saves me having to go out to stop / start the generator. I also love the dual fuel capability since it means I don't have to worry about cleaning any carburators.

Well Pleased

Living in Oklahoma we are no strangers to severe weather and using generators for everything from tornado's to ice storms. We bought this as an upgrade to our current generator which puts out 5000 Watts and only runs on gasoline. It's heavy but it only took less than an hour from the delivery truck to assembled and running. The machine appears to be well put together and everything is well labeled, all control panel switches, generator output on all three fuels, fuel shut-off valve and choke. I checked operation using the local electric start button, the remote electric start fob and even started it with the manual start pull cord on both gasoline and propane. The only glitch was it took me a few attempts before I figured out the choke (I should have probably taken more than a cursory glance at the manual). I'm really pleased that it has a separate fuel shut-off valve. I like to shut gasoline motors off using the fuel shut-off valve when available. Doing this removes gas from the carburetor preventing any “varnish” or “gum” from forming or building up which can lead to problems down the road. The manual is well organized and covers all end-user aspects of the generator. All in all I think this was a good purchase even though I hope I don't have to use it.

whole house

the WGen9500 dual fuel is simple to start and swap out fuel sources with the propane option. Needing only a couple propane tanks instead of fighting for multiple gallons of gas during the course of a hurricane is worth the price alone. This generator runs the house water pump, AC, refrigerators, freezers, during power outages for about 12 hours on a single 20 lb tank of propane. I love it!

Great generator

This appears to be very well constructed. Plenty of plugs and helpful features. For the break-in period, I didn't wait for the battery to charge up (that I could have done with the provided trickle charger). I put in some gasoline and used the pull starter, which got the unit running on the 2nd smooth and easy pull.
