This thing is a BEAST

I bought this so I could run my whole house during a power outage. The fact that it's Tri-Fuel allows me to run it on Gasoline, Propane or Natural Gas. Currently, I have a large underground Propane tank, so that will be the dominate fuel of choice. However, the fact that it will also run on NG allows me to use it in the eventuality I someday have NG, or if I ever move from the country to a residential area that has NG, I can just take it with me. So, the portability aspect of this generator makes it very attractive. I've run it with a load, but nowhere near the massive load it will actually handle. I've had a transfer switch and generator outlet installed. I can't say I'm looking forward to my next power outage, but I DO know I'm READY for the next outage because of this product. It's heavy. Really heavy. But, the wheels, the "feet" and the handle make it very easy to move around and set in place. Did I mention it's a BEAST? I haven't had it long, but so far it's highly recommended by me.

Seems good!

Had it a few weeks, of course I unboxed it the morning the power went out. Read couple lines of instructions, put wheels on, 2 more lines of instructions, put feet on, 2 more lines of instructions and put oil in, read, put gas in, read, turned it on, read, plugged things in. Very easy actually, I'm surprised the quality for value, WELL boxed overall, came on a little wooden pallet. So Far so good, I would highley recommend at this point. Good reminded, shut the fuel off and let it run out of gas to clean out the engine so it doesn't sit in fuel while it's not being used. After engines dies, then shut off the two buttons.

TriFuel

Our nieghbors do not trim their trees and have mature trees all around us. Every year a branch falls on our house during a rain storm and pulls the wire from the transformer. Therefore the electric company puts us on the secondary list to fix. This generator is perfect as our natural gas line is outside the panel in the basement. We had a gas line put in with a quick release. When we assembled it and demoed. Started right up and directions were spot on. Assembly was good and quick. I did read that there wasn't enough oil provided so have another quart on hand but there was plenty to fill.

Peace of mind equipment

My husband found this deal he said we could not refuse. Living in Texas, we get weird, unpredictable storms that can have our power out almost 24 hours. It's nice to know if we needed to plug in our refrigerator or need to run an electric heater, we got this. Plus, if we go camping/Glamping, we have the power to turn on a fan if it's hot or have lights and power to charge up our phones or tablets. The only little complaint is that the motor is a bit loud....so have it some distance away.

Solid generator with lots of features

I love the dual fuel aspect of this generator. I've owned several generators over my life and this one seems to be a quality build. While I haven't used it extensively during power outages, the build quality seems to be great. I love the trickle charger on the battery and that it has a 50 amp out to my transfer switch.

Westinghouse WGen9500TFc Generator Review

The Westinghouse WGen9500TFc Generator is a powerful and versatile machine that's built to handle a variety of power needs, whether for home backup during power outages, camping trips, or even job sites. This model stands out for its impressive performance, dual fuel capability, and user-friendly features. Key Features and Performance The WGen9500TFc offers a peak output of 12,500 watts and a running output of 9,500 watts, providing plenty of power to run essentials like refrigerators, air conditioners, and more during a blackout. The dual-fuel capability is a game changer, allowing you to switch between gasoline and propane for convenience and flexibility. Switching fuels is simple, and it's nice to have the option, especially if one fuel source is easier to obtain than the other during an emergency. Ease of Use Westinghouse has equipped this generator with an electric push-button start and remote start, which make it incredibly easy to get up and running. The digital data center is another plus, providing real-time information on voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours, so you know exactly what's going on at all times. I also appreciate the variety of outlets, including 120V and 240V options, and a 12V DC port, which makes it highly adaptable for different setups. Fuel Efficiency and Runtime With a 6.6-gallon fuel tank, the WGen9500TFc has an impressive runtime of up to 12 hours at 50% load on gasoline, making it fuel-efficient for its power output. If you're using propane, the runtime will vary, but it's still highly economical. This generator also has a fuel gauge, which is a nice touch for easily monitoring fuel levels. Noise Level While the generator is not silent, the noise level is fairly standard for a unit of this power. It's not overly disruptive if placed at a reasonable distance, and it's definitely manageable for outdoor use. If noise is a major concern, placing it further from living spaces can help reduce the impact. Durability and Build Quality Westinghouse is known for its reliable and durable products, and the WGen9500TFc is no exception. The build quality is excellent, with a sturdy steel frame and heavy-duty wheels for easy transport. It feels rugged enough to handle rough environments and should last for years with proper maintenance. Pros and Cons Pros: High power output, suitable for most home and job site needs Dual fuel capability for flexibility Easy electric and remote start options Good fuel efficiency and long runtime Well-built and durable with wheels for portability Cons: Can be somewhat noisy Large and heavy, which may be difficult for some to move Final Verdict: Overall, the Westinghouse WGen9500TFc is an excellent choice if you need a powerful, reliable generator with the flexibility of dual fuel. Its high output, ease of use, and rugged build make it a solid investment for anyone looking to be prepared for power outages or needing power in remote locations. While it's on the larger side and a bit noisy, the pros far outweigh these minor drawbacks.

Solid generator

I purchased this in 2021, however, I did not use until 2024. It was good luck no power outage until this year. I was little worry even though this is no used unit before I start. It just starts by pressing button after putting engin oil and gas, we got the power back with our furnace.

Beast of a Generator

The generate came via a lift truck. It weighs over 250 pounds. Love the fact that it has wheels and stand plus padded handle from moving it around. Love the auto start and remote start. Plus I have propane tanks in the event, I run out of fuel. Super value power for our home.

EXCELLENT GENERATOR!

what a great and solid product. Plenty power to run more than half my house and plenty more to run a 12x16 outdoor storage shed. I chose this one mainly for its high wattage capacity and dual fuel options. I got it running with gasoline but later on when needed for proper running I will be using mostly propane. Thank you!

Just what I was looking for

We live on the Gulf coast of Florida and were affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton, suffering power loss both times. While a smaller generator got us through, it wasn't comfortable by any means. With this size we can power everything but the air conditioner. I like the tri-fuel capability. My wife works from home and lost power means lost wages. When I'm not home, it's a lot simpler and cleaner for her to start it up on propane versus gas without being obnoxiously loud.
