Michelin Defender2 - 215/45R17 91H Tire

Second set of Michelin tires. Was more than satisfied with my first set and k ow I’ll be more than satisfied with this set. Reliable, dependable tires. Remember your life rides in your tires.

Michelin has an excellent reputation

Purchased these tire in June 2024 and the following month went on along drive  approx. 5000 km  . I found the tires to be quiet and smooth ride and very responsive  on the road . Also it seems like my gas mileage improved .

WOW ... Just an all round great tire

Exceeded expectations. 2017 Defenders lasted 138,000 miles (7 years). They still had tread wear left, but we're getting noisy, weather checked and would not hold balancing. 
 Replaced with Defender 2.

I am very disappointed with the Michelin Defender 2.  The 4 tires are rated for 80,000 miles.  However, I am experiencing uneven wear (feathering) on al 4 tires at 12,000 miles.  I have documentation to prove I have been aligning my tires at Firestone since the tires were purchased new.  The shocks and struts are new on my vehicle.  However, I am experiencing noisy tires, and the roads feel bumpy all the time.

Poor Reliability

I only buy Michelin tires from an authorized Michelin dealer.  The Defender 2 and th Defender LTX are my goto tires.  Smooth riding, quiet, traction, and durability are second to none in my book.  Also, my local dealer has a lot to do with it as well.  Good people, helpful, and I've been dealing with them for a long time.
