Best I’ve ever owned

I’ve owned several sets of these for my 85 and 86 Mustang with aftermarket 16 inch rims. Traction in the snow has always been an issue for these cars and not anymore with these tires. I was heartbroken to find out from my tire store my size has been discontinued, 245/50/R16. Performance 16” A/S tires ant near impossible to find.

Exceeded expectations

Bought these back in January or February. For starters, they were great in the snow and I couldn’t expect anything more from tires that aren’t winter tires because they exceeded my expectations in that department. Next, they are great in dry weather driving, I do not drive easily and like to take corners at high speeds and the tires work together with my car flawlessly to not disappoint. I have yet to slide or lose traction in any manner in rain. Yes, they wear a bit quickly (but honestly not even that quickly), but you’re getting a great tire for the price. Also, the grippier the tires, the quicker they wear, so don’t complain about tread wear on ultra high performance tires. You just look goofy lol. There’s a nice donut media video on tires, I suggest you watch it. My only “complaint” with them is their is a noticeable amount of road noise. Again, it’s not that bad and my car is known for having poor sound insulation. Honestly, it’s a great all around tire that far exceeded my expectations in every area. The only way you’ll get anything better in my opinion would be to have top performing summer and winter tires. They were also really beefy looking when I first got them and I liked how that looked on my car lol.

Cadillac XT4 AWD

I bought a set of these tires today and they handle nicely. We live in the California Mountains where we have windy mountain roads, get ice and snow in the winter. We needed an all season tire that would check all of the boxes. While we haven't had a chance to try it out in winter conditions yet, but we expect these tires to meet our needs. No growl or vibration issues that we seen in other reviews, They were installed on a 2019 Cadillac XT4 AWD SUV. I will add a comment after first snow.

Best For The Money!

Having run three sets of G-Force COMP-2 A/S since late 2016 on my 2013 Ford Focus ST, my review will be about that previous version of this tire and not the new "PLUS" model, which, coincidentally, I'm about to get a new set of. The COMP-2 A/S replaced the OEM tires on my Focus ST and totally transformed the way it drove, and in nothing but GOOD ways! Much better grip in the dry and wet, and alleviated the need for snow tires unless things got really nasty. For my Focus ST and driving style (Spirited), I've found the COMP-2 A/S will last a good two years in daily driving duties if mounted new in November or December, so you have maximum tread depth for the first Winter and driving in the snow. After Winter is over, I don't rotate the tires and just keep driving on them normally through Spring, Summer, and Fall, then rotate them just before the next Winter (November/December) so I have maximum tread depth on the front wheels for driving in the snow again. Remember, this is for my front wheel drive Focus ST and you may need to rotate the tires differently if your vehicle is rear or all wheel drive. I then drive the tires another year without rotating and by Fall or Winter of the second year all four tires are about equally worn, a few millimetres about the wear bars. For me, that's when it's time to get a new set of COMP-2 A/S but keep the old set to use for Autocross or Track Day driving as there's still plenty of tread for that and they're still excellent in the rain. Overall, in my humble opinion, this is an excellent Ultra-High Performance All-Season Tire and the best value for the money. You can easily get two to three Winter seasons when driven daily and even use them for several more years at track tires! What's there not to like about that? Well done, BFG, well done indeed!!

Great All-Season Tire

I purchased this tire for my 2014 Scion FR-S after reviewing Consumer Reports. It is listed as an ultra high performance all-season tire and it really delivered in the snow. I did not want to own two sets of tires and the FR-S is my daily driver. They performed well on a snowy day, the bottom of the car was brushing against the unplowed road. In the summer they offer great grip and the sidewalls have really good stability. The sidewall of the tire looks different but it does to give stiffness to prevent blowout on low profile.

Great but noisy as the miles add up.

Bought these in late 2018 to replace the Bridgestone RE980AS tires that came with my car. Better handling and braking in the wet and dry than the Bridgestones. Less understeer (better turn in) than the Bridgestone as well. I really enjoyed them but they get progressively noisier as the miles add up. I would give them 5 stars if not for the distinct "rumbling" sound they generate.

Upgrade

I bought these in stock sizing 255/40R19 for my 2014 Mustang GT. They replaced the OEM Pirelli P-Zero of the same size. I have to say these BFGs are excellent. There's a marked improvement in performance all across the spectrum. I highly recommend these tires.

Not *perfect* but amazing all around tire for the price

No one tires is perfect at everything so my 5 star review is based on overall performance and cost compared to other UHP all seasons. There is a reason why Consumer Reports has this tied for THE best UHP all season, regardless of price, and it's a good 15% lower cost than its same corporate owned but different brand competitor. Pro's: VERY well rounded tire with good to very good performance in nearly every category; from winter performance as a non-winter tire, to wet and dry cornering and braking and ride quality. This is truly a UHP and not regular all season, a few reviewers who rated this tire down clearly bought the wrong category and shouldn't review a UHP tire for their non-performance boring sedans. This means compared to a regular or Touring all season, these are slightly louder and wear out a little faster, all 100% expected in a UHP all season, but FAR from annoying if you have a modern car that is in good condition with good alignment and non-worn out suspension. Ride is perfectly balanced, smooth and handling feels very stable and confident, it clearly rides more comfortably AND handles better than cheapie UHP all seasons I had previously. Con's: For a UHP all season, take off/launch traction and surprisingly hydroplaning is merely average, which is still acceptable for sure.. Still, overall, for a good 15% less cost than the top Ultra premium UHP all season tier, this easily competes with those in excellent all around performance and feel. Seems there does seem to be the rare "bad" one that won't balance well or wears out unevenly, just buy and have mounted at a shop you trust that also offers the rotating instant rebate deals that make these an awesome overall value.

Good traction and wear for a higher performance 40 series tire

I bought them 3 years ago. The Goodrich's wear very well and have decent traction for an all season higher performance tire. I thought the price was very reasonable. I think they ride relatively hard. I did go from Michelin Pilot Sport's to the BFGoodrich. The Michelin's are known to ride and handle wonderful but they were wearing out every 13,000-15,000 miles. The Michelin's cost is also more than doubled that of the Goodrich. I have to say, I did buy new Pilot Sport 4S Super Sport for my Audi RS6. Supposedly they now provide 35,000 miles of wear. Since BFGoodrich is now owned by Michelin, all of the money is going to France. I have had a lot of fun several times in France including a couple 24H Le Man's and GP Monoco. I'm hoping that a lot of the design and engineering at BFG is now coming from Michelin.

My Go To All season tire

I've run through 4 sets of these on my Mazda 3. Avg 50k miles on every set. I drive hard and push my car through the corners. Excellent wet traction and braking with above average dry grip with very progressive slide at the limit. On some damp autocrosses we had the fastest time of the day. The only con is the tires do get noisy in the last 5k-8k miles.
