[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Tune 520BT headphones are a stunning value in their class. They are an on-ear wireless model, with bluetooth connectivity, long battery life, and are phenominally portable. I am not usually a fan of on-ear vs my preferred over-the-ear, but the cups are very comfortable and cushy, and they do not squeeze the ears too tightly, yet still feel very secure. I even dig how clearly marked the left/right cups are, and the control buttons are placed smartly and feel well-made. Pairing is super simple, and you can manage them by downloading the JBL app to your phone. The app is intuitive, and allows you to customize your EQ, or select a preset, each of which is set well to bring out the best in the headphone's sound. There is also a setting for video playback that helps fine tune performance, and it works very well. I have not noticed any latency ever with these. There are expanded bass functionalities, and they definitely boom. As a personal preference, I generally do not go for heavy bass, preferring a more balanced, rounded, full sound, which these provide! Clarity and detail also recieve unexpectedly high marks; they are almost in the same class as my top-shelf, over-the-ears set that are much, much more expensive. While I do miss having noise cancellation for air travel, the value and quality here make me forget about that! I am finding these are perfect on-the-go headphones that I keep with my laptop for work. They fold very well, and are super slim, making them easy to slip in and out of my messenger bag. They feel well-constructed and durable. Long story short, these are my new workhorse headphones. Intuitive, quality, reliable, and comfortable. Oh- and they look stylish too!

Setup with the iPhone app was very simple, and they sound fantastic! Very comfortable too. Not too heavy and they don't squeeze my head the way the sports headphones do. I plan to use them in 2 weeks when I travel as I think they will be great on a plane.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this headset a few weeks ago and finally had some time to try it out. To date I’ve been pretty impressed with this headset. The contents of the box were basic and included the headset, a short orange USB-C to USB-C cable, a quick start guide/instruction manual, and the headset’s warranty documentation. The fast-pairing BT connection was extremely quick and reliable on both my Android phone and when connecting to my Windows computer. The sound was impressive right out of the box. However, it was even better when both sound and equalizer adjustments were made via the JBL Headphones App. All my video and voice conference calls were crystal clear on the headset. It was both light and comfortable enough for me to wear for extended periods of time on calls, and during 2-3 hour-long meetings. The power, volume, connection, and audio controls are located on the right ear cup and were easy enough to find and adjust without looking – that is, after I wore them a couple of times.

The level of detail in the differences in sound when listening to music or talking on the phone is first rate. Audio quality on phone calls is the best I have heard using headphones. Tune 520bt are also designed with comfort when wearing for a long period of time. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for good headphones for a reasonable price.

They are so comfortable, have amazing sound, and there are hours and hours and hours of battery life available right out of the box! It is unbelievably simple to pair them to any device, or even multiple devices! I think my favorite feature, though, might be the fact that they can fold up for easy storage. I love taking them away with me when I travel for work and don’t have to worry about recharging them or having them be bulky in my longings. 10/10 would recommend!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this JBL Tune 520 BT headphones for about 10 days. So far the best for the price in terms of build quality, sound quality, features and options it has. The box is included with the cable for charging. The best part is it has a JBL app supporting these headphones using which we can customize some of the settings and the setup is very easy. Coming to wearing it for a longer time is also good without any complaints with its long-lasting battery and feather kind of light weight. Coming to sound quality and bass is great for the price. It has the option of a multipoint connection, like connecting to 2 devices at a time and switching between them, but I found it a little hard to switch and there was no clear info about it. Other than that, the rest of the things are absolutely great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used these headphones for a few days now and for the price, I am very impressed. Decent padding on the top and ears. I can wear them comfortably for hours. The blue tooth range is good because I move from rooms to rooms without disconnection (upstairs) If I go down stairs, I lost connection. The sound is better than I expected for the price. Lyrics are clear and base is deep. The ability to connect the JBL Tune 520 BT to multiple devices simultaneously, without needing to disconnect and reconnect, makes my lives a lot easier because I connect them with my work computer and my phone. The only complaint I have is the charging cable is a bit too short.

I bought these refurbished. They are very comfortable and fit well. However, they have fallen apart after a few weeks. I don't know if that was just the risk I was taking getting a refurbished pair but its disappointing that they were so short-lived.

I've had my pair for abt 3 years now. They're better than more expensive ones I've had. Battery life is fantastic, sounds good, padding is comfy and doesn't crack or flake. As a commuter with little kids, these have taken a beating - thrown into my work bag, diaper bag, back seat, you name it. The only negatives I've really had, is that it slips some when I've got my head down and sometimes the ear pads make my ears too toasty. But honestly, I've had JBL both on ear and ear buds, and I don't want anything else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tune 520 are over-ear headphones, made of plastic with faux-leather earcups. Like I said they’re very lightweight and the earcup padding is plush, but the clamping force is pretty high so those with larger heads (like me) will be uncomfortable after even a moderate listening session. Those with normal-sized heads might feel differently. Overall, the construction seems pretty good. The controls on the 520 are straightforward and similar to other JBL units. There are buttons on the right ear cup to help you turn the phones on and off, adjust volume, skip tracks forward and backwards, play/pause audio. The power button is also used for Bluetooth, and the upgrade to Bluetooth 5.3 is a nice addition. The headphones support multi-point connection, which means that they can connect to two devices. Charging is handled by USB-C. You can also adjust the equalization using the JBL Headphones app. The 520s delivered very balanced sound out of the box. It was extremely flat, but connecting to the app allows you to tailor them to your liking. Stereo separation is great and the bass extension in the app provides a ton of punch. It took me a little while, but I was able to get the equalizer set to my liking. Bottom line: The JBL Tune 520 are a nice way to break into JBL headphones. They’re super lightweight, the battery life is tremendous, and if you like bass you’ll love these headphones. The ability to tailor the sound using JBL’s app (which I really like) is a big plus for headphones in this price range. You just better have a smaller head.
