EXCELLENT SET OF TYRES

Bought 4 sets of tires and the moment I drove out of the dealership after install, I immediately felt the difference from my old tires. It's quiet and traction is excellent on curves. no wiggles when tried at 140 km/hr, smooth ride and did not felt that I was cruising at this speed. This brand is excellent and highly recommended. You get the satisfaction what you pay for.

FINE EXCEPT FOR FUEL MILEAGE

Retired engineer-pilot, very observant of aircraft / vehicle performance. These replaced OEM tires on a Camry hybrid. PRO: Very quiet and smooth, fine ride and handling, and (based on 1 encounter) sure-footed in heavy rain. CON: High rolling resistance. Fuel mileage is down more than 5mpg.

Great Tire on VW Alltrack

I don't understand the reviews stating that this tire is noisy. I am very happy with these tires - they are nice and quiet! If the tire is loud, that most likely is due to improper wheel alignment, or perhaps the tire was installed inside out (there is an inside and an outside face of this tire). VW installed Falken tires on the car from the factory which really were noisy and only lasted 25,000 - 30,000 miles. I went with a slightly wider size so that I could put Michelin tires on.

Could feel the difference from the start

I have been using the Primacy for 14 years or more. I like Michelin tires and have been buying them for 20 plus years. I didn't like that the dealer only offered me the Primacy so I bought the Defender TH online and had them delivered to the dealer. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot, I could feel the difference. The car felt surefooted and the handling was incredibly smooth and quick. The real test will be this winter and how long they hold up. I usually change my tires every 50,000 miles. I'd like to be able to keep them longer.

Smooth but only get 50k miles

I can't give 5 stars due to early wear. I've had several sets of the Defender 215/60 R16 tires. You get a smooth quiet ride but your only going to get about 50,000 miles before they begin to crack and tread is just about worn down. Handling in the rain will make you nervous and ready for new tread. I drive a 2002 Toyota Camry V6 3.0 engine and 4.9 years and 49.6k miles I need new tires. I am a fairly aggressive driver maybe. I do use the power of a 6 cyl. I am not sure more faithful rotations could get me 40k more miles. I am currently tire shopping and doing lots of research. I hear the pirelli is also a good tire, should I switch or not

Love these

I am putting my second set of these tires on my car and have had a set of other Michelins in the past as well. They did last to the mileage mentioned so I would assume those poor comments may be due to lack of care on the owners part. I always rotate at my 8,000 km maintenance at the garage if needed and I always do alignments and keep air pressure correct as needed. Just like any part, proper care is needed. I drive 40-50,000 km/year, These tires are a little louder but stop great in bad rain or snow, even on my old car that had standard brakes. I highly recommend these

Great performance

This is my second set of Defenders on two different vehicles and I also own a set of X-Ice Snow used on a front wheel drive Japanese sedan. Michelin's renowned quality is far from overrated. The Defenders T+ H delivers an amazing stable smooth and silent ride. Didn't gave 5 stars because there are better Michelin products for handling heavy puddling rain conditions at high speed. Not a problem for a seasoned driver but I wouldn't let my old father exceed 60 mph in a rainstorm on crappy Quebec roads.

I love the Michelin Defenders!!!!

I have owned three sets of Michelin Defenders, and I absolutely feel they are THE BEST tire available today. Not only do they last long, ride great, handle great, and are extremely quiet, they are superb in bad weather. They stick to the road like glue. I feel confident with these tires. I feel confident in Michelin quality, too. Never a problem with them. I do not work for Michelin or have any affiliation with them at all. I am simply a regular consumer that has had a great deal of experience with these tires and put thousands of miles on three different sets of Defenders. I have tried all the different tire brands, and honestly have to say they are the best tire out there today, no questions asked.

Like the tire but not the treadwear

For the past few years, I have been happy with my Defender T & H tires however after only 42,000 miles the remaining tread depth is now only 2/32". The wear pattern is even. The car has been balanced shortly after the tire purchase and again one year ago. Tires have been rotated with every other oil change. I drive on a combination of both local and highway roads. I now have to buy new tires and can't really justify getting Michelin tires again, even though I have liked the tires overall. This is disappointing for a tire with a 85,000 mile warranty

DON, we are sorry to read that your tires are in need of replacement. Fortunately, there is a mileage warranty on this tire. Your retailer should be able to apply credit toward a new set of tires according to the warranty. Please have them contact our team should there be a question or problem.

Quiet !!!

I bought a set of these about a month ago because I needed to replace my tires. The car I was replacing tires on is a 2013 Ford C-Max and we primarily use it as our daily driver. I told the counter guy I was looking for long life and primarily a quiet ride as this small car had a lot of road noise. Wow, what a difference! These tires are really quiet and I'm hoping to get the same kind of mileage that I'm getting on my original equipment Michelin shod Ford F150
