Queso para freír means frying cheese in English and because it is made for cooking this is the delicious difference this delicate-tasting versatile, cheese brings to all your Mexican or Latin cuisine dishes. I find this product can be grated on top of chili con carne, added to corn fritter batter, or crumbled on top of Mexican tostadas. You get a lot from one block!

I like to use this cheese in many different ways. Like it is; nicely and fresh, sandwiched with a fruit like bananas, or I used it sliced and spread on top with peanut butter, guava paste, with honey caramel sauce or arequipe. This cheese is great grated for cooking and baking different dishes, sauté in butter, wrapped in dough and then baked! It is delicious and chewy and amazing to use it to make a fondue soup called, “Mote de Ñame con Queso.” A Colombian dish from the Caribbean coast. Also, they have another staple hors deuvre in the Caribbean coast of Colombia called, “ Deditos de Olaya.” One of the favorite snacks of Sofia Vergara, from Colombia.

The cheese' texture is a bit "rubbery". The flavour is ok but I have definitely had better.
