2 yrs and it has gone kaput

It starting going down a year into ownership. I have two monitors, a keyboard and laptop on it. It began to move up and down by itself which I believe has led to the burnout of the motor. I've gotten codes E04 and E05 which I believe are related to the motor. It is so pretty and spacious but I spent a lot of money on something that hasn't lasted.

Moves up and down on its own

Bought this back in Sept before the start of my training. I had read the reviews of it moving on its own so to try and avoid that I went ahead and read the manual while my spouse set it up - was definitely an easy set up. I did the “reset” that is required, followed by setting the memory height and not even a minute after setting it it began to move. It unfortunately would not keep a certain height in place. After so many attempts for two days straight we decided to take it back. Over all is a decent desk if you figure out how to stop it from moving. It has USB ports on the sides for charging. I ended up buying a different brand same style: but with upgraded benefits/additions to the desk itself- elsewhere and thankfully no issues.

Controls are glitching like others stated

I really like the desk, but like others I've had issues where the up/down controller and memory function doesn't work most of the time. I've called support, but no answer. I'll update this review once the email I had to send them is responded to and issue resolved.

DO NOT BUY!!

I bought this desk 1 year ago because I loved the glass top and the clean look, but I soon discovered what many other desk-owners have talked about: the touch screen controls don't function properly and the desk goes up-and-down continuously with no input. - - I've gone thorough the entire FAQ in my attempts to fix the desk, but to no avail. Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THIS DESK!!

5-Star Reviews Are Bogus, look closely!

The controls were glitching right out of the box, had to return the desk. Read the reviews closely. Many of the high ratings are obvious pumps from manufacturer. Either one word (Happy! Like! Good Desk! Make Success Business!) else they read like the product description.

Mind of it's own

From the first week, this desk went up and down I its own. I was constantly having to unplug it so it wouldn't go lower than my pushed in chair and flip over while away from desk. Would have to plug back in to adjust height and promptly unplug again. Now, a year later it won't go up or down when plugged in.

GREAT BUT READ BEFORE PURCHASE

After reading reviews about ghost movement and faulty controls I was hesitant to purchase. But I went ahead because I loved the aesthetic of the desk and couldn't beat the price. 1. It came with a slight crack in the wood near the controls similar to others' pictures. 2. After assembly and beginning to program heights, the desk would continuously move on its own and was super annoying. After much debate I finally broke it back down and exchanged it for another one. This new one was perfect with no damage and now works flawlessly. The key is: DO NOT IGNORE THE RED FONT ON PAGE 11 OF THE MANUAL. The only way the desk works perfectly is if it is initialized/reset immediately after first being plugged in. If you just plug it in and immediately start moving up and down, it will be cursed forever regardless of how many times you reset afterward. This is why now, I give it a 5 start rating. Durable, aesthetically pleasing and works flawlessly!

Cool concept, terrible

I've had this for 10 months now and the motor just goes up and down on it's own. Good luck getting help from Sam's though, they won't do anything in club, but have you go through the manufacturer. Why have a Member's mark guarantee and then tell your members to do all the work themselves? I've been a plus member for 7 years and will not renew after the experience

Somewhat misunderstood/poor instructions

A lot of reviews for this desk state glitchy or bad electronics. The reality is for most of these issues the problem is poor instructions. The instructions tell you to initialize/reset by holding the down button until you hear a beep. It does not specify how long to hold it. I tried holding it and I never got a beep but I felt like I had held it long enough. When I tried to adjust the desk I got the same glitchy response that people are complaining about in the reviews. So searched through the reviews on Sams website and someone had responded that you have to hold the down arrow for up to a minute to get the beep. I tried this and it fixed my glitchy desk. This tidbit should be included in the instructions. I hope this helps someone like me out there. This desk is fantastic I ended up buying 4 total one for my two older kids and one each for my wife and me.

Finicky electronics

Nice looking desk overall. However, I assembled the desk exactly as instructed, leaving the top upside down in the box and then attaching the legs before removing the top from the box and flipping over. When I went to remove the assembled desk from the box, the glass top came off. It did not break, but now is not attached to the desk, it just sits on the frame. Not a deal breaker. Unfortunately, after configuring the desk electronics, the desk still just goes up and down as it pleases. It's way too finicky. Sometimes it just stars to go up while I'm typing so I keep the position locked. Overall I expected more.
