I've purchased this quinoa about a dozen times. It WAS great! Then I got a bad bag that just smelled and tasted sooooo STRONGLY like chemicals no matter the amount of rinsing or googling different ways to solve this issue. I had other people smell it to make sure I wasn't crazy. Everyone agreed it was horrible. Ruined a few meals before I contacted the company. They were great. Apologized and quickly sent me another bag. This bag was great again so I felt ok about purchasing another bag. Just opened it today. SAME ISSUE AGAIN. I'm done purchasing this quinoa. This is the only brand I've ever had this happen with. I'm moving on to other brands permanently.

Upon opening the bag, there was a noticeable odor. Washed and cooked the quinoa according to package directions. The unpleasant odor intensified during cooking. Tried the quinoa plain and the family thought it had very little taste to it. Added butter, brown sugar, and dried fruit to make a hot cereal. It was okay but the family would have preferred a bowl of oats.

I use another brand normally. The first time I put this in the rice cooker, it smelled like burning plastic. I thought something was wrong with the rice cooker!! Nope....it's the quinoa. When you open the bag & smell it, there is a weird chemical smell. The next batch I washed first (even though it says prewashed) and the chemical smell (and taste!) was still there but less strong. I'm switching back to the more expensive brand.....

Love the great price on this ORGANIC Quinoa! Makes a variety of healthy side dishes and less starch/carbs than rice and noodles.

Great tasting organic quinoa for a great price! Can't beat it, and I will definitely continue to buy this!

First time I’ve ever fixed quinoa. Used it in place of rice in a recipe. It turned out good. Easy to fix. It does have a different texture than rice but we liked it. It doesn’t take much to make a lot! I made way too much the first time.

The bag says already washed but still rinse it. This is very small quinoa so you cannot rinse it with a regular strainer because it will fall through. You need a strainer that is meant for scooping food out of boiling oil but those don't allow you to rine much quinoa at a time.

My husband found this great new quinoa company during his last visit to Sam’s Club. We have never seen the brand Sideaway before, but the packaging is fun and their website is loaded with great recipes. The quinoa was fluffy and delicious. Great price. Better than anywhere else! Thanks Sam’s Club

This is a great price for this quinoa. No bitterness, cooks evenly and fluffs nicely. I love that it comes in a sturdy bag for storage. We have been purchasing bags of this quinoa to put in our long term pantry. The bags do not require additional packaging for storage. This is a great companion to store along with rice and flour for long term storage as it provides variety and additional protein in our meals. We store the packages as is in sealed buckets and just take one out as we use one.
