Was very disappointed

Had been really looking forward to using my new electric skillet. After reading and following instructions, I started supper this evening, the first ingredient put in cooked beautifully but the next ingredient just sat there. I double checked the cord, the light was showing on the control, turned up the heat a bit but the pan was losing heat and I had to get out another pan to finish supper. I will be returning this item
