This ale reminds me of another ale that I like but this ale seems like it better and more refined, the flavor is crisp, and the aftertaste is actually enjoyable. The packaging is simple, I hope they are true to low impact on the environmental, it makes me feel just a tad better that I'm buying something that has a low impact on the environment. I recommend this product if you are looking for something crisp and a drink to relax with

I'm more into sweet wine so it says a lot that I actually appreciated the taste of Fat Tire ale. It's smooth and doesn't have that harsh heavy aftertaste that most beers I have tried have. It finishes crisp. This would be the perfect drink to have while hanging out with friends at a barbecue, or something laid-back and casual. Plus, it's only 140 calories per can. Lastly, if you're environmentally conscious, check out their website and read about their sustainability efforts. That's another win in my book!

I had fallen away from the brand in recent years, and now trying the new formulation it is difficult for me to tell. It's a good beer, solid for hot summer days, and I would recommend it to anyone. It is a crowd pleaser!

One of the first craft beer's I tried in the early 90s , it wasn't even available where I liked in Michigan. You could still get t-shirts and bike jerseys though, which has the cool fat tire labels on them. Friends who traveled west would always bring me a 6 pack. I loved the smooth almost biscuity flavor for year's. Now they changed the recipe, it's lighter, and a bit more hop forward. Gone is the smooth bready mouthful. It's still alright, but just tastes like other beer's on the market now . One of the reasons I pass it up in my store ,is the distributor choice not to offer it in cans in my area, they carry all of New Belgium's other offerings in cans. I don't think the distributor should be able to decide how I should be able to enjoy my beer.

Used to travel a lot and found Fat Tire when in Denver, but had to wait to get it on the east coast. But then, while on vacation in NC, everything got more enjoyable when I could get my beloved Fat Tire. It was still a few years before I could savor the flavor at home, after a soccer game or bike ride. All is right in the world because not only Fat Tire wets my whistle but most of the other New Belgium flavors are around.
