I bought this dutch oven because it was enamelled. I have two others and I will use this in place of the non-enamelled one that I have which I still use. I will use this for bread, soups, stews, slow baking, etc. I find that I use dutch ovens more often in place of my oven and slow cooker. I recently made a beef stew using a Southern Living recipe which closely matched what I had at the family table when I was much younger and was happy with the results. I just washed it and seasoned the rims on the oven and lid and touch it up after using it.

I have always used cast iron Pots and pans. However these are really beyond belief. With normal cat iron, you have to pay close attention as they are real prone to stick and/or burn. These have enamel coating and I couldn't believe my eyes when I got up with a distraction and my potato soup boiled over. I though it was truly gonna be a nightmare to get clean, if I even could. I used a wooden spoon to try and find it how damaged it was. My eyes literally bugged out when as I stirred the bottom at actual came off. The clean up was a breeze and believe it or not, the soup want scorched tasting. I think I'm gonna have a bowl in a bit. These are way more than I ever expected. Now I have the best of both worlds. Not only is my food tasting better and cooking faster, but the clean up is a breeze and there's no seasoning the pan to worry about. I don't have to put it on fire after cleaning to get all the moisture out of it so it doesn't dust. Whoever came up with these, .....thank you sooooo very much.

Not only a truly beautiful cast iron Dutch oven, but it's . . . well, it's cast iron, so it is perfect for cooking soups, stews, casseroles. It distributes the heat evenly during cooking process, so the food cooks evenly. The cast iron heats quickly, then cools quickly, and the enamel finish makes it so easy to clean. It is a very useful item for the kitchen, and looks good sitting on the shelf. I recommend it to anyone who cooks for a big family or who cooks big batches for freezing.

My Dutch oven arrived on time in a well protected package. It is a beautiful blue color. It’s big enough to cook my favorite whole wheat bread in the oven and I am able to stew my favorite meats and veggies. I’m glad I chose this size because it can do everything for me large or small. It’s easy to clean. And you can’t beat the price.

I have had this dutch oven for a few years and recently purchased one for my daughter. I don't know how I got along without it before that. It is excellent for roasting, braising, stews, and as a bread baker. Clean up is easy even with baked on messes. Every cook should have one of these and at this low price there is no reason they shouldn't.

Really well made product at a great price over comparable Dutch ovens elsewhere. Good sized bottom surface but still fits on my largest ceramic cooktop burner in the front. Yes it is heavy as all of the larger ones are. I got mine in a purple eggplant color and I am quite happy with how it heats up and maintains heat cooking at a simmer even when I lower the burner temperature. Made a large pot of Bolognese sauce with meatballs in it and it cleaned up pretty easily. Great for stews and slow braising larger roasts with vegetables. Can go into the oven after searing meats or sautéing vegetables for longer braising times. Just keep a level of liquid in it to avoid scorching the bottom.

I recently purchased 3 of these and sent them as gifts as the price was better then when I bought mine. A enameled cast iron Dutch oven is a must have in your kitchen. It cooks well and is very versatile. I gave it 4/5 stars because you have to be careful not to chip it and it’s heavy empty. I have arthritis so I have to be extremely careful.

I liked this Cast Iron Dutch Oven so much that I bought four. Three were for gifts. It is very heavy, and everyone loved the rich red color. The first meal I made was an oven roast with all the trimmings. The roast was very tender, and I was pleased with the results. Second meal was stovetop frying... not quite as crisp as I was expecting, but still very good. The pan is easy to clean. All-in-all, I expect to use this Dutch Oven for years to come.

This is a great pot. The price is excellent. I have lots of more expensive Le Creuset and this pot is just as good. In fact, a better deal for the price. I love the size. It’s perfect for simmering and making soups and stews, one pot dinners, etc. I’ve already used it many times. It is very heavy but then it’s cast iron so that should be expected and it’s one of the reasons it cooks so well. Either stove top or oven it performed wonderfully. It cleans up well in the dishwasher and even by hand. I would definitely recommend it. It would make a wonderful gift for someone of even yourself.

I've had this pot for several months now and I love everything about it. It cooks evenly and goes into the oven as needed. One caveat: it's very heavy. If you have hand issues, you will need a partner to help with moving and washing it. I understood that when I bought it: it's cast iron after all. The Dutch Oven is now a permanent resident of the top of my stove. Happily, it looks great and matches my kitchen décor,
