Excellent quality, Excellent price!

This is the largest Dutch oven I own. It cooks everything evenly. It is large enough for an 8 lb roast plus vegetables with space left over. The quality is excellent. The only drawback is the weight. It is just a tad heavy so you’ll need some muscles to move it around especially when full. I would definitely recommend this.

6.5 qt. Enameled cast iron dutch oven

I love this pot. Every time I move it, I am reminded at how heavy it is. I have an electric glass top stove and this works very well. I have only used it twice, but so far, so good. On a segment of Martha Stewart, she said if you don't have this dutch oven , you should get one. She uses this pot quite often on her show.

Great Pot

I was looking for a large Dutch Oven to replace another 6 quart pot that I had so that I could use it in and on the range. I've used it about 5 times so far and I have no complaints. It was inexpensive and it looks and cooks great. I think it's a steal.

Heavy duty-red is my favorite color

This purchase was for a Christmas gift and I have not heard an opinion from the person who received it, but I have this same dutch oven and I really like it. You do need to remember to season it before using. Somehow mine has gotten a chip in the enamel on the handle, but that's not a big deal. It is a good heavy dutch oven that looks pretty.

Great Price Great Deals and Great Savings

I bought this to make great dishes like chili, potato soup, stews, etc. The only thing I didn't think about was the weight and it is a little heavy for me to pick up and move around on my smooth top stove, but I have managed the issued. Purple is my favorite color. The dishes are so delicious and it can be made in one pot.

I liked this Cast Iron Dutch Oven so much that I bought four. Three were for gifts. It is very heavy, and everyone loved the rich red color. The first meal I made was an oven roast with all the trimmings. The roast was very tender, and I was pleased with the results. Second meal was stovetop frying... not quite as crisp as I was expecting, but still very good. The pan is easy to clean. All-in-all, I expect to use this Dutch Oven for years to come.

Beautiful and Utilitarian

Not only a truly beautiful cast iron Dutch oven, but it's . . . well, it's cast iron, so it is perfect for cooking soups, stews, casseroles. It distributes the heat evenly during cooking process, so the food cooks evenly. The cast iron heats quickly, then cools quickly, and the enamel finish makes it so easy to clean. It is a very useful item for the kitchen, and looks good sitting on the shelf. I recommend it to anyone who cooks for a big family or who cooks big batches for freezing.

Surprised

Have received this Dutch oven and was surprised at how heavy it was . I know that cast iron was heavy but expected it to be of lower quality. I am 73 years old and one of the pleasured I get out of life is cooking so I am very very fussy about my cooking equipment. I live on a minimum amount of SS so it is one of the few enjoyments I can afford. It has made me feel good about this purchase. I would recommend this to anybody. As a matter of fact (depending on how much I can afford it) I think I might purchase one for my daughter's Christmas gift.

Present for my boyfriend, not personal use

Didn't buy this for myself, so hard to review. Looks very nice (just a couple small blemishes in the finish that hopefully won't affect its use). Very heavy. I did read comments about oiling the exposed cast iron, so he's done that. Don't think he's used it yet, as it will be a new experience. Need to find a good recipe for him to try with it. I'd get one for myself if I had room to store it without worrying about damaging it.

Love it!

I bought myself the Tramontina Enameled Cast Iron 6.5 Qt Covered Round Dutch Oven in teal for myself last year. I love it and use it often. It's pretty and functional! I bought one for my mother-in-law last year, and one for my mother this year as Christmas gifts! The only draw back is the weight of the pot. Because it's a 6.5 qt cast iron pot it can be quite heavy to pick up.
