We have been driving with MICHELIN LTX MS for a long time.They are quite riding, long lasting with good fuel mileage. Excellent in rain and snow but not icey roads. I have used them year round with no problems and we get a lot of snow. But we do prefer studded tires for icey roads.

I've had problems with two sets of these. Both wore out way too quickly. The first set was on my Wife's Toyota Sequoia and the 2nd on my GMC Yukon. I put 12k miles on these and they are down to 5/32nds. I plan to take my pro-rated warranty and buy a different brand once they reach 4/32. I used to swear by these tires and this brand, but not anymore.

I am 67, and began driving while being supervised at age 15. I was a professional truck driver for many years. I have had or driven dozens of cars, pickups, vans, straight trucks and semi trucks. I am not aware of any brand or tread pattern better than the Michelin LTX M/S. I have watched others experience the tires of their choices, how they made noise or the tread disappeared, or their choices were not even close to the Michelin on wet roads. Other than one source selling the same tire for less, I have not yet heard of or experienced a better tire. I am hoping to, by buying the new Defender for my van.. Thank you Michelin. Sincerely.

This tire is an excellent choice for hwy. handling. We drove 1200 miles in very wet conditions including storms and noticed immediately how much better the vehicle handled the wet pavement. Is a little noisier but I expected that being this is a SUV.

The prior generation of these tires were awesome. Absolutely loved them. Quiet, durable, and long lasting. Bought these thinking that I would get the same service and quality. But I have to say that I can't stand them because they absolutely ROAR going down the highway. They are the loudest set of tires I have ever owned. I have owned off-road tires that don't make as much noise as these. If the amount of noise these tires make rolling down the highway matters to you, DO NOT BUY THESE TIRES! I wish I could get my money back...

I just had 4 new Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires installed on my 2004 Suburban. Just driving home from the service shop felt like I was driving a new vehicle. The ride was smoother, quieter, and more responsive. I had researched for weeks in advance to making the decision to go with Michelin and I am very glad I did. I feel Michelin did their homework with this tire design and definitely got it right.

I have Michelins on 2 of 3 of my trucks. I decided to 'save a few bucks' and went with Bridgestones. I was not happy with the performance since day one. They lasted about 40k miles and were horrible. Two of them leaked and had to be pumped up weekly. I'm back on to Michelins and I won't stray again!

I have used the defender tires for years on my vehicles and love them in every way. Bought a chev pu and the tires were still good, but did not like them and had to replace with these defender tires , could not wait the other tires were loud and did not drive as nice. I will only use michelin tires. My spouse does think it makes that much difference but it does.

I just returned from a trip in my Ford F150 from Strathroy Canada to Dallas Texas towing a 7000# trailer and I am more than happy with the control I felt from these tires. Each truck I have bought came with different tires, but when the trucks needed new tires, they were always Michelin.

i bought these for wifes cadillac xt5 with 235/55/20's about 1000 miles on them, they seem louder, stiffer, than the Michelin Premiers that came with the vehicle??? are they desinged for larger vehicles or something? i have about a week left to exchange them for a different tire they seem to be a great tire but maybe for larger vehicles???
