Unbelieveable

Purchased a 5 year old sport trac with 69000 miles. It had new Michelin LTX M/S tires. At 175000 miles and 106000 miles on the tires, I am wondering if they are ever going to wear out? Light hauling, highway miles, some trailering. Great all season tire .Best I have ever owned. Thank You Michelin Man

MICHELIN 20'S FOR YOUR HUNNY

Bought a Chevrolet Silverado Pickup Brand Spankin New. Bought the Work Truck Edition ( AKA / Striped not Equiped) with very Little to no options. Then I transformed that normal plain Jane Truck info a SHOW TRUCK. I looked info on the Chevrolet Website regarding the Tire Sizes on the other Truck models. And decided on there Sport Truck Option Pickup. And that was a 20" Model, so I proceeded to Find and purchase the Tire and Wheel combinanation that would look good. The tires were my biggest concern. There are so many differerent tire manufactures. But, I learned from my Father as a child. You never regret buying the best, You get what you páy for. As All my other Truck Enthusiests were only concerned about the choice of Wheels first and didnt care about the choice of tire manufactures. I was concerned about both equally. As I got the attutude about the price of the tires from my friends. I had to explain to them, Yes, MICHELINS are more at the beginning but they will outlast the cheaper inferior tire brands. So to recap.............. 6 years later, My Chevrolet Silverado Pickup has 110,000 miles, the MICHELINS LTX M/S are still the original tires on that I out on the Truck at 500.miles. I get them rotated every other Oil Change at the dealer. And the tires are only half way through on the thread. So, as my other Truck friends have gone through there 3 rd or 4 th set of tires. I am still on my original ser that I Bought at 500 miles and still havethe other half thread to go. Thats better than money in the Bank. Spend a Little more at the beginning, because in the end. That Little extra you spent in the beginning saved you a lot more in the end.

I am in the transportation business and have had great success with the Michelin product line. When it comes to passenger tires I don't think you can beat the LTX M/S. The ride and life of these tires are unmatched by any of the competition. I one time tried the competition because of price not cost but price and have been sorry ever since. The next purchase for that truck will be the LTX M/S.

Better than factory tires

On my 2017 RAM 1500 Limited, the factory tires lasted as expected, about 17k miles. I've been a Michelin LTX fan for about 15 years. The Defender LTX MS didn't disappoint. They have a MUCH smoother ride than the factory tires ever did and handle very well. I've had them a few months now and can't yet see treadwear, but I know from Michelin experience they will last many many years.

I was so glad to see that the new truck I purchased in 2006 came with Michelin LTX tires. I had used up two sets of Michelin tires on my old truck and currently are on our second set of Michelins on my wife's station wagon. We are completely satisfied with every aspect of these tires.

15k so far and excellent

We bought two sets of these tires about 15 months ago. The Michelin Defender LTX are wonderful tires for my wife’s 2011 Odyssey van and my 2009 Acura MDX suv. Have road tripped them both 1000’s of miles and they are smooth and quiet and are also great around town whether wet or dry. I took the Acura to the Rocky Mountains and these tires inspire great confidence even through a foot of fresh snow. And quiet on the highway (less than 68db). Plus the 18” version of these tires have 12/32 of tread when new, so they are going to last a long time. Much better for a heavy van and SUV than the “regular” Defenders IMO, since those are built for lighter cars, while the LTX version is for heavier ones like a loaded down minivan (well north of 5500 pounds when loaded with 6 people, 2 dogs, and tons of luggage). Don’t be turned off by the LTX version for your minivan or luxury SUV. They look cool too, are built for a heavy vehicle, and are still super smooth. I have about 15k miles so far on the Acura MDX’s tires. Just drove it 2500 miles round trip with the LTX tires to the Colorado mountains and back through all types of weather: dry and smooth interstate as well as blinding snow a foot deep. They were super smooth and quiet crossing Kansas on the interstate, and never slipped in the Colorado snow. Could not be more pleased. I would recommended this version of tire over the regular Defender for heavier vehicles, since I would not have thought about an LTX tire since one normally thinks about a pickup for an LTX tire. The tires have stayed 100% balanced (as all Michelin tires do!) and wear evenly. Kudos to Michelin for engineering a great tire for all the family vans and SUVs out there.

All Michelin are the BEST TIRES

I have had Michelin tires since 1978, I first purchased them to put on my "Pinto Wagon" yes I said Pinto, she was a 1976. The car did not come with radial tires, and these tires changed everything. I have been a loyal Michelin owner since. The ride is awesome, the wear is awesome, and I feel very safe knowing I have Michelin tires on my Vehicle............ I put different Michelins on my Explorer this time, but the LTX/MS were on my vehicle, I purchased them.....the Latitude is also great, only a 5,000 mi difference in warranty.........If you can do it, always use Michelin. Michelin has come a long way, the one years ago had softer side walls, and that was rough in NYC, having to parallel park............ Thank you Michelin !!!

Purchased these in the LT 245/75 R16E for a GMC 2500 HD.These replaced the factory tires with 48,000 miles on the truck. Was very pleased with every aspect of this tire.I tow a 12,000 lb. fifthwheel camper aprox. 2,000 miles a year and also work in the road construction industry statewide in Wisconsin so most every road condition possible was thrown on these tires.Tire wear was very uniform with little to no cupping on front tire edges when rotation time comes, one time past due at 9,000 miles.Michelin passes with flying colors with this tire performing this well on a truck that weighs 7,000 lb. empty.
