I’ve noticed that the 2 pound loaves are a problem with holes being in the middle of the bread. It’s aggravating to lose nearly half a loaf of bread with a big hole in the middle it’s too expensive to have to throw it out.

the reason i always LOVED the 2lb loaf of merita was that it was different than merita 1lb as in 2lb one had flat soft square top not the crunchy hard dry round top of the 1lb now all of a sudden after all these yrs of buying 2lb for that reason and paying the ridiculous 4$   for 2lb and it was a larger piece of bread also now they started making it round top like the 1lb and ruined it for me and im sure many others too... so i switchedto lewis brand instead even though its a smaller slice of bread you can eat the top also its square and soft ... ill never buy merita again unless they start making it "right" again i can get 2 almost 3 loaves of the lewis brand for what i was paying for merita... its awful now... merita you ruined your bread imo and lots of my friends stopped buying for same reason also... bad choice merita

My family loves this bread!  It is bigger so you can have a good sized sandwich.  Not too soft or too hard.
