Don't expect 60,000 miles

I got about 35,000 miles out of a new set when they got to 3-5/32 all around. Local reseller explained that the warranty required they be worn to 2/32 to be covered. This meant driving with 3/32 of tread on the front tires this past winter. Finally got the front tires to the magic 2/32 with 48,000. While the prorated warranty will cover some replacement costs. The thought of asking anyone to drive with such low tread depth again is not worth it. Keep the $50, I'll take sound of mind, thank you.

We understand the Premier A/S tires on your vehicle did not meet your expectation in terms of mileage. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

30k mile tires max

These tires are rated for 60k miles but I'm already at 2/32 after 30k miles. What an absolute joke. They advertise a warranty for 60k but you need to have documented tire rotations every 5k miles or so - I rotate my own tires so no documented proof therefore no replacement

Good, Except for Winter Conditions

We have a Subaru, hard to find a better AWD system. Have had other brand tires and gone through over a foot of snow in New England without issue. These tires are not good in snow or ice. They are just OK. Not a winter tire, get it, but comparing to other All Season tires. They are very good in dry pavement, wet surface and unlike others reviews, the tread life seems to be good.

Simply................Awesome!

Purchased a set of 245/45R18's for my 2006 LS430. Had a 4 wheel alignment done and tire pressure set @ 40 psi. We immediately noticed how quiet these tires are! We could faintly hear the V-8 in our LS as it was going up through the gears. Braking is silent. Highway is silent. Couldn't be more pleased! Thank you Michelin!

Great tire but nothing's perfect...

2012 Camry XLE 17 inch rims - 4 cyl. Researched the heck out of this tire - (I do for any major purchase). After driving in torrential Florida rains, and with a little over a thousand miles so far, I can safely say this was a good purchase. Lets address the biggies - EXCELLENT wet weather traction, control, acceleration, handling, braking, what have you. You have to experience it to believe it. Noise - I really haven't noticed any significant change in road noise good, bad, indifferent whatsoever. Mileage - I keep meticulous mileage records, and it would appear to be about a 10 percent reduction in overall mileage - combined city/highway dropped from 28.4 to 25.7 combined. Bottom line though - I will trade the mileage loss for the renewed confidence in the car's handling, and the safety aspects of this tire.

Thank you for providing your feedback in regard to your experience with Michelin Premier A/S tires. New tires having full tread depth will have more grip and rolling resistance in comparison to worn tires. As the new tires wear, the rolling resistance decreases. Over the life of the tires, all things being equal, the fuel efficiency should improve.

Worst Michelin Tire I Have Ever Owned

I have been purchasing Michelin Tires for all of my vehicles since 1980. The Premier A/S has been the worst performing Michelin tire that I have owned. They have been rough riding and one tire had a belt to slip and was replaced after about 5K to 6K miles. I currently have another tire or two that is/are causing the car to vibrate. My tire dealer has been exceptional in trying to find the cause of the problem(s) and we know it's not the rims. The Premier line is lacking much in comparison to the Primacy line of tires that I have had on my other vehicles.

How could you not like these tires?

I've had the new Premier A/S for one week. I replaced the original equipment MXV4's which had 30,000 miles. The old tires were not worn out but I knew I would have to replace them when I turn the car back in 5 months so I thought I might as well use the new ones. Obviously, the old tires were past their prime - so perhaps that makes the comparison unfair But... the Premier are quieter - Very quiet, and the handling/cornering is terrific. I'm very happy I gave this new pattern a try! ...on a 2013 Lexus ES300h, by the way.

Quiet, comfortable ride but wear fast

I was originally happy with the tires but I am shocked how fast they've worn. I've been following a routine tire rotation schedule. I now have 58k on the tires and they're worn down to 4/32 already. I have also noticed a decrease in traction when it's raining. I expected more life from the set.

Worn out early

Long time Michelin customer, many sets. 3 years 8 months ago we bought a set of Premier tires for our 2011 Chevrolet Malibu. 31000 miles later tread depth is at 5/32. Almost worn out with only half the warranty miles on them. Always have had a lot of miles on my Michelin's, never wore out a set, had to replace them due to weather checking. Will still recommend Michelin's, just not the Premier

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Silversmith. We would recommend getting a tire inspection at an authorized dealer. Please have the dealer contact us at 866-866-6605 to report their findings.

My second set

I purchased a set of Michelin Premier about 2 1/2 years ago. I hit a pothole around January, bent my tire rim and got a knot in the tire. The mechanic sad that I should replace the rim and the tire. I drove on the tire until the third week in March and the tire was still in good shape except for the knot. It did not loose any air. The tires were only about 2/3 worn and I bought my 2010 4 cylinder car brand new. Now it has 131,000+ miles on it. So, I decided to buy another set. They ride very nice. But, I recommend installing them on a 6 cylinder vehicle. You will love them.
