Street vibrations.Michelin's to the rescue!

Just the facts. Several months ago purchased a tire by the name of a Continental tires. Over the course of ownership these tires started to transfer vibration in the steering wheel. Went back three times to get them balanced. While a fourth at an independent shop. No improvement. Then replaced the two front tires- same brand. No improvement. It's the the vehicle right?. In stages I replaced the rack & pinion, rotors, entire strut assembly and lower ball joint. No improvement. Yesterday I put on the Michelin"s. BAM! No vibration, rock solid drive, smooth as butter. Thank you Michelin's!

My First Michelin Disappointment

I have a 2012 Camry XLE that came with Michelin MXV4. I replaced the MXV4s with Premier A/S tires. The first thing I notice was road noise was much louder than the worn out MXV4s. The next thing I noticed was I could feel every imperfection in the road surface. At 750 miles I had the tires removed from the Camry and replaced with another premium brand. This was hard to do since I've been a Michelin fan since the 80s. Had the Premier A/S tires road as good and quiet as the worn out MXV4s I would have kept them on the car.

Good tire attributes but fast tread wear and lower MPG

I bought a full set of these tires in the summer of 2018 for my 2014 Subaru Forester. They have 32,500 miles on them. The good. These tires ride well, absorb road noise and shock, corner well, grip in wet and snow conditions, and look good. I have Michelin X Ice winter tires for my vehicle which I normally swap into from Dec-Feb, but I decided to skip this past winter to see how the Premier A/S tires do in the winter season. They worked out great in lighter snow and way better than the original OEM tires in all snow/ice conditions. The not so good. 1) Loss of fuel economy. I expected a drop in mileage since the OEM tires weren't the best and were primarily fair-weather tires, but I've lost an average of 1.6 MPG over the last 30,000 miles. That's a lot to me. 2) At 32,500 miles I seriously doubt I'll make the 60,000-mile mark as advertised. From the looks of it, I'll probably make 45,000 miles, maybe 50,000. I'm going to stop by the tire store I bought them from and have them give me a better estimate. However, they're wearing at a faster rate than anticipated.

Smooth and extremely quiet

I am replacing OEM tires (Continental) that came on my new Ford Focus Hatchback. I got 55K from those. After much research I decided on the Premier A/S as a replacement and I am not disappointed. They are smoother and quieter than when I purchased the car new in 2014. Cornering and stopping seem to be firm and aggressive without it being too stiff. Have not had any winter driving yet but I did climb a steep dirt embankment the other day under a bridge I was checking out for kayaking. Only slight slippage but that dirt was loose. The tires gripped it strong and I popped up without having to get a running start. 215/50R17.

Awesome Tires

I have a 2012 Mini Cooper . I had continentals on my car. I have 17000 miles on this car and the wear and road noise was unbearable . I knew the Michelins were the best tire out there. I purchased 195/55/R16 87v for my mini. What a difference the tire makes. No more noise and better all around tire. I am very satisfied with the Michelin brand. Always is the best tire for the money !!!

Premature Wear

I've purchased Michelin tires for the past 30 years and the Premier A/S have worn down to 3/32 and 4/32 in less than 27,000 miles. I'm meticulous about rotating my tires every six thousand miles, keeping them properly inflated, and have never driven on rock or gravel roads which can cause excessive wear. This is the first set of Michelin tires that have worn this quickly and it seems like a very common issue with these tires.

Second Time for Michelin!

Bought Lattitudes for my Rav 4, excellent, so I got the Premier a/s for my Honda Fit Sport. Took a ride on the interstate and they seem great, too little time until they break in a bit. Seem a little stiff but I think they will soften up after a bit.

I have high hopes!

I just bought 4 of these tires for my 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE today. My first impressions are that the ride is just a little bit stiffer than before nothing offensive though and I assume this will be better once the tires are broken in. My car generally has problems in the rain so if these tires perform as advertised I will be very happy. These tires also handle very well for a daily commuter and those who are more spirited like myself. I did notice braking distances have improved a lot. I cannot rate fuel efficiency or wear just yet! I will update my review when the time comes.

Like butter

Just bought a full set for my minivan. Drove it off the tire service lot and was immediately impressed by how quiet the tires were. Turning corners also seemed to smooth out substantially. Like driving on butter, just without the slipping. I'll see how they continue to perform.

Best tire I've ever owned!

I love these tires! I've had these tires on my car for 4 years of hard driving, or at lest as hard as a Camry can go, and they have preformed beautifully! But it is also as sad day as I need to replace them but the site no longer lists the corect size for my car, 205/65R15 94H. :(
