Very disappointed

I purchased two 15,000 sq bags, followed the directions for how much to spread per sq ft, checked the soil temp, and spread it early enough in the season; but I still had crab grass come up 5 weeks later. Very disappointed

Several factors may affect the performance of this product. To get the best results from Turf Builder with Halts Crabgrass Preventer, it should be applied before your target weed seeds germinate. It will not kill existing weeds. Be sure not to aerate or dethatch the lawn after using this product as this will break the product barrier in the soil, and the product will fail. Also, some grassy weeds look very similar to crabgrass but will not be controlled by the product. Be sure to have any stubborn weeds identified by a reputable nursery in your area to verify that the weeds you see are truly crabgrass. If they are not, we may have alternative products to recommend.
