Recently bought this a week ago. Went to put it down with a Scotts Turf Builder spreader and started to pour it from the bag it started coming out in big clumps. Tried to break them up. Then started to put onto the lawn I could tell it was clogging up because less was coming out. The whole process took more then twice as long because of how the product clumped up. Very disappointed. Now I can only hope the product works since I have no way of knowing how much was put down.

I have used this product for the last 3 years and have decided to not use it again. It is a waste of money because it does not work on the weeds. I have followed the directions and it does not work on the weeds. It does average for the grass but not the weeds.

You may be tempted to go with another brand but you won't get the performance that Scotts will give you. A beautiful lawn every year is what you can expect!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are surrounded by neighbors who have crabgrass in their lawns in the summer and a cornfield in the back of our house. We grew up on the east coast (now live in the mid west) and know how hard it is to get rid of crabgrass once it takes hold. So, we are faithful in putting down this product every year in the early spring. It does the job! We very seldom see crabgrass in our yard. We always use Scott products on our grass.

It is in a transition zone and it takes considerable time to have a good lawn. I have found that Scotts products are the best - by far. Crabgrass appears to germinate in this area through July and the crabgrass preventer does an excellent job of holding this pesky weed in check. I have tried other products, but alway come back to Scotts.

The product was easy to use. For the first time my grabgrass has not taken over my yard this year. The product had easy directions and only burned a 5 inch section of my yard because I cleaned the spreader on the grass when I was finished and too much landed in that spot. Other than that, there were not burn marks and my lawn looks great.

I use Scotts Crabgrass preventer/weed killer each year in early March and again around early June. Seems it take two applications to control my lawn's problem but it does work. Would recommend to anyone with the same problem that I have. Product is a little more expensive then private label products but for the most part is worth it. Thanks!

Using the Scotts brand over the last year has vastly improved the quality of my lawn. The lawn is thicker and there are fewer weeds after using for just 1 season.
