Fabulous Machine

I bought my Bullet about a month ago. Absolutely love it. I have a veggie and fruit smoothie almost every day. I am so into health and fitness since I quit smoking over 4 years ago. Best machine ever! Takes away any cravings I have had that were not so healthy. Just wish I bought it sooner!

Disappointed

I'm a huge Nutribullet fan. Got the original as a gift for my birthday, and it was amazing. However, after a couple years my wife and I wanted to upgrade to the Nutribullet 900 Pro. Unfortunately we've been disappointed with the product. Mostly because the extractor lids do not seem to stay on as tight as the original. Not sure what changed, but with this version it seems that 1/3 times the extractor lid comes loose or detached when blending, and a mess ensues. The smoothie contents leek all over the inside of the blender, which is not easy to clean. We've tried all the different lids and tried tightening them as best we can, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Hope Nutribullet can make some improvements to this. In the mean time, I would go with the original version.

Inherently Dangerous Design

Too dangerous, a flawed concept. The danger comes from a combination of 3 factors: 1. The bladed motor can be left bare on the unit, 2. All it takes is pressure to activate it, and 3. The device has no off switch, so as long as it’s plugged in, it’s on and ready to spin at full speed in a split second. It’s simply too easy to leave the bladed motor unit in the machine (an act encouraged by the upside down container), and too easy to be tempted to clean it out, dust it, etc. while in that state. Push too hard and your fingers will be gone. Or push too hard if you put the bare motor unit in, same result. Should only be capable of being activated with a push of a button, or least it should have an off switch. Get a regular blender, a time tested design that’s far safer. The bullet designs are simple kitchen appliances made far too dangerous by requiring too much caution from the user.

Makes a perfect smoothy every time.

Make a great drink after a workout. With frozen fruit right out the freezer,a measure of soy protein, mixed with almond or coconut milk. In no time the mixture is done ready to drink. The motor is strong enough to do the job, however I did notice an odor very time it starts up. Maybe it's just breaking in.Hopefully it will hold up.

Top got stuck

I love the concept of this machine. It's easy to clean and worked great. However, I have had two of these machines the last one I bought this past January. Both time the lid got stuck and I'm unable to get it off. Please do something to fix this problem. Useless now.....

great customer service

I use the Nutribullet several times a day. Usually, it's used for smoothies but on occasion I use it to mix thicker things like batter or peanut butter. After about one year of constant use, the rubber gasket that seals the cup to the blade housing came off. The company suggests not using it in this condition, so I call right up. They are replacing the blades pro-Bono but they did get me to buy the extended warranty. Being that I had a broken cup for the machine and I use it so frequently it made sense for us to get it.

good unit to make healthy smoothies

I bought the NutriBullet 900 - the second generation with a bigger 900 watt motor. Now there is a 3rd generation that makes soup, so I may get that one. What's great about the NutriBullet is the easy clean up. You drink your smoothie out of the container you made it in. The only thing that can't go in the dishwasher are the blades. I would like to know how often those should be washed, as I tend to use the NutriBullet everday and not hand wash the blades very often because I use the dishwasher most of the time. There is one design flaw. On the tall cup the "fill" line is at the same height as the smaller cup. So if you follow that printed line on the cups then you put no more ingredients into the tall cup than you would the small cup. So I fill up the tall cup to the level I think is OK for the machine. The booklet they sent is well produced. But there is one discussion missing which is important to some of us. There is a line of thinking in nutrition that advocates proper food combining. People that follow this don't mix fruits and vegetables together in the same meal. I would lke to see this discussed by the nutrition expert who pitches this product - David Wolfe.

Extremely durable and easy to use!

I received this NutriBullet 4 years ago when I graduated college. Since then, I've used it nearly every day. I'm beyond impressed with its small size, heavy duty base, ease of use, and the fact that I can blend up 1 or 2 portions of a smoothie without having to do any guess work on amounts. With a regular-sized blender, I would always make way too much. So easy to put in your ingredients, twist, and sip! I highly recommend the metal straws, too. One thing I'd like to add is that last year the rubber around the blade fell off. If this happens to you, just seal it with some super glue. Worked like a charm for me and never had anymore problems!

I love it, my husband....not so much :(

I LOVE my NutriBullet, the juices it makes are fabulous but if you're prone to Kidney Stones, be careful with the type of extracted ingredients you use...in particular those high in Oxalates. (Look it up, National Kidney Foundation seems to have the best info) Check with your family doctor if you're concerned or have concerns too. As with anything, moderation is key.

Works great!

I've had the NutriBullet for 4 months. Both my husband and I use it every morning to make our smoothies. Keep those smoothie recipes coming! I like that you divide each recipe by condition or benefit. i.e. detox smoothie, lower cholesterol smoothie. The reason why I did not give it a 5-star review is because sometimes I can still feel the cranberries or the almonds. It doesn't liquify the apples completely.
