The Magic Bullet's beefy big brother

I've owned Magic Bullets for nearly a decade. I decided to try the Ntribullet as my mother loves her's for smoothies. I'm not a smoothie person - but I've found plenty of things to use it for. I love the power of this machine. I use it to make frozen fruit yogurt. 50% frozen fruit + 50% plain full fat yogurt. I add a dash of vanilla & just enough honey or agave to sweeten. This is my dessert most nights. It's scoopable rather than a slurry. I use the pulse feature and sometimes have to give it a couple of shakes because I don't use anything to thin it down but it's still worth it. I've also used the pulse feature to chop 6 cloves of garlic perfectly in just a few seconds. It also turns my whole ingredients for salsa verde into a puree in seconds. I'm not sure how it will do on a straight-up chop like for regular salsa (it might overprocess it) or for rough chopping...I haven't tried it yet. I think it might be OK but I'm keeping my magic bullet around until I know for sure. I also bought the upgrade pack to get the smaller cup to make smaller quantities. I rinse the cup and blade under running water for a second or two & the dishwasher does the rest. If I don't pre-rinse things like blueberry pulp tends to stick even after a run through the dishwasher.

Great so far

Just got this for Christmas and used only a few times. So far the unit works great! I blend frozen fruits, seeds, nuts, protein powder and almond milk. An awesome healthy breakfast! The unit cleans up real fast and easy, just rinse the blades and hand wash the cup. Dishwashers tend to break down utensils quicker. If I encounter problems in the future, I will re-post a new review. No problems in the first week, works great..powerful too.

Using Our Bullet Everyday

I had the original bullet from 5-10 years ago with all the attachments, cups, etc; I finally upgraded and probably should have done it sooner because this one blends even faster and blends the frozen items easy. I like the larger size cup and the blade is easy to clean. Very happy!

Blades Leaking Rust into the Smoothie

I’ve had my bullet for less than a year and noticed that after blending there was a brown liquid in my smoothie, turns out the blade under the seal that you can’t get to is rusted even though the exposed blades is clean.. it’s leaking thru from the sealed portion.. Be careful bc it’s blending in rust with your smoothie!!

Not the best

I had this blender for just over 3 months. Now it stop working. I called my insurance and they send a technician. He open it up and there he showed me the problem. The plastic that holds a screw in place had just cracked, it is very brittle. This is where the cup sits and pushes down on a blade that activates one of the switches. This base was made with the cheapest plastic. It can not withstand the pressure from the spring and the high power motor vibration.

Great blender with a few caveats

I purchased this blender about a year and a half ago. I also own a Vitamix and Blendtec... I must just love blenders. While I don't think the build quality of the NutriBullet is on par with Vitamix, I find that the NutriBullet gets used much more often due to the convenience and the end result of my smoothie. The cleanup process for this blender is much easier than the other two blenders. It also seems like the consistency of the smoothie is much more controlled. Because of the design with the entire contents sitting directly over the blade, it requires less liquid to move the ingredients around. The other two blenders seem to develop air pockets around the blade and need a tamper to push the contents down. This means that I can make the smoothie as thick or light as I desire (to a certain point). I love being able to throw the ingredients in and within a few seconds everything is perfectly blended. I usually use spinach, frozen strawberries, frozen raspberries, frozen blueberries, frozen cherries, a scoop of protein powder and almond milk for the liquid. The NutriBullet 900 does a quick job and no lumps are left behind. My caveats are: 1. The fact that I have already had to contact NutriBullet about a replacement base when mine stopped working mid blend. They were great about issuing me a new blender even though the machine was slightly outside of the 1 year warranty period (I did have to pay a twenty dollar warranty upgrade fee). The build quality could be slightly better for the base materials and blade housing. 2. When the blade housing is removed from the container the seal ring sometimes comes off. I always add my protein powder last because I don't want to risk the protein being destroyed from the heat of the blade friction or aggravation of being mixed for a longer period of time. When I take the blade housing off, I have to rinse it before putting it back onto the container or else it makes a mess. Overall this is a great little blender and for the price it is unbeatable. Hope my review has helped you make a decision.

Don't Waste Your Money

Machine, parts, superfood blends - all WAY overpriced. I am going back to my inexpensive Oster blender which works way better. The "superfoods" taste awful and are very expensive. Ordered a replacement blade to have on hand (as recommended) and it came in a box with ZERO packaging protection. Not happy with the product performance and certainly not happy with the price. Don't waste your money or your time on this product. It does not live up to the hype.

Problems, but.....

We had problems with the Nutribullet Pro. It worked great at first, but after about a month it started smoking and giving off a strange smell. We returned it and with the refund bought the original one because we loved the product. I know at times. products can have glitches. We've had the original for a while now and it has been working great. And, I just ordered the newest one the Nutribullet RX. I can hardly wait to use it.

great while it lasted

I loved the nutribullet while it was working, but after a few months' use it simply stopped. I did all the fiddling round and cleaning that the accompanying booklet suggests but to no avail. A son-in-law who prides himself on his fix-it skills had to confess himself defeated. So, sadly, we had to throw it out. Because of its short life, we won't be buying another one.

Still checking this product out.

I received one as a Christmas present. A few weeks after using, the rubber casket somehow got wrapped up around the blade, destroying the seal. I exchanged it for a new one, and this one leaks. I really want to like this product 100%, but am having to wait on any recommendations. Hope this is a fluke and not the norm.
