5 stars! We are new to the camping world and could not live without this unit. More than enough power for the weekend warriors in us. The idea of running on Lp and gasoline is a great option too.

We used this on our camper, since it has the co shield on it was hard for us to keep it running! Best thing tho where you can get it out into the air it works like a charm. Just wanted to use it to keep our camper warm while we slept a little. We will know better next time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this a week ago. One of the main reasons was it had remote start/stop and the 4500 watts of peak power. Today I pulled it out of the box, read through the well written manual, connected the battery and added gas. I pulled the recoil start about half dozens times before turning on the battery switch in order to get oil and fuel into the engine. Then I turned the battery switch on and rotated the big dial to the start position. With one momentary touch of the remote fob start button it started the first time and was running very smoothly within the first minute. I shut it down, again with the fob, then restarted it using the yellow electric push start button on the start dial. Again, started first time. Very pleased so far. I bought this generator to use while boondocking in my 38' travel trailer. It is by no means my first Champion generator but it is my first Champion Inverter generator so I am looking forward to years of flawless service.

I bought this for the remote start. At my age it's hard to pull start my old generator- my how technology has changed for the best!! I put the oil in , connected the battery,added gas programed the key fob and instantly started up!! Easy to use and very quiet !! Used it for about an hour or so to make sure everything was working- GREAT INVESTMENT!!!!

I live in the California mountains, where we have frequent power outages. I had a huge generator at one time, but it was difficult to maintain and extremely noisy. Then I bought a very small generator, which was very quiet, but did not have enough power. And as they say, third time is the charm. I got this unit a couple weeks ago and have already had to use it several times. Everything about it is very easy. The gauges are large, the numbers are large, I can see everything plainly. It cost a little bit more than other generators, but in trade you get almost complete silence with it. It's sat outside my window and I could barely hear it. Other generators sound like a truck. It is also small enough to be mobile. It's not a piece of furniture that you put down and never move again. It has a handle and already comes with wheels, wheels are extra on other models and brands. I'm very happy I got this model.

I've had this generator for a couple of years. Use it primarily for camping with my 24 ft travel trailer. This fall went off the grid for a hunting trip in Western South Dakota and Wyoming. We hit the National Grasslands, Badlands, Black Hills and Devil's Tower area. It was cold overnight, typically in the low 30's F. My 4500w Champion inverter generator worked flawlessly and was a key element to being able to get to remote spots in those area and camp in comfort. A one hour charge of the batteries before bed kept the furnace igniter working all night. Then, in the morning made sure heat was on, water was hot and breakfast was cooked. Thanks Champion, for making a great product!

Bought this generator to power a lunch/ break tent which has lights, a heater and 4 microwaves. This unit has operated 20 hours a day powering everything and has performed flawlessly. This unit is extremely quiet which suits our need completely. I would recommend this unit to everyone.

The 201184 inverter generator is very quiet compared to my pervious 5ooo watt generator & is easy to operate. It handles my needs for a power outage handling 2 energy star refrigerators, 2000 sf gas forced air furnace, several lights, lcd tv, dvd paye r& coffee maker over a period of several days.
