Pretty tight fit for my Honeywell air filter holder. I just wanted to try a more 'standard' and more readily available filter than the accordion type filter that my filter housing takes.

First time I ordered a Filtrete 20x25x4 Air Filter. I was excited to get this because it was a rated MERV 12. The problem is that this was too big even though my current filter (and all the other ones through the years) was a 20x25x4. It would not fit. I ended up tearing up the packaging around the filter to get it to fit. Terrible. When I put this on top of my other filter it was not same dimension.

Hoping these filters are providing some much cleaner air than what has been outside with all the wildfire smoke/haze...would not use any other filters and make sure to change them every 3 months...glad Sam's carries them and free shipping with Plus membership! They are not cheap but think they are worth it!

Furnace filters can be pricey but they are a necessity. The more frequently you change them the better for your air quality. I live on a heavily wooded lot so I need the furnace to do a little extra because of dry leaves and dirt that add to the air quality. These filters seem to do their job. Not the most expensive but not some cheap off brand. Filtrate is a good, known brand.

I and my HVAC service tech love these long lasting hard working furnace filers. I recently put in a new system (replaced the 23 year old furnace and A/C units) and have already obtained the correct size filter for it to be put into use in about 6 months time!

Look, when it comes to air filters, you're not exactly looking for a thrill ride, right? You want something that does the job without breaking the bank. And that's exactly what this filter delivers! It's a solid value, does exactly what it's supposed to do – keep the air clean in the house. The packaging was perfectly fine, nothing to write home about, but no issues there either. You pop it in, and the air gets cleaner, plain and simple. Can't ask for much more than that! Zero complains. Good price.

These filters at MERV 12 have more pleats than those of a lesser MERV value and therefore last longer in your unit, in spite of filtering the air better. Any air pressure increase is minimal and not a concern. As a retired mechanical engineer with HVAC experience, I believe that MERV 12 gives the best combination of filtration, pressure drop, and filter life. I live in Texas and my units run nearly all year, so I replace my 4" wide filters every 6 to 8 months.
