We bought a new furnace 10 years ago and didn't like the flimsy filter that the company provided. I researched filters online, in particular for old homes with pets, and found this filter. I am happy when I change it and find all sorts of particles, large and small, that have been caught in the filter.

I have started using these filters because of my severe allergies that hit me every summer. This past summer I thought would be a bad allergy season because of all the rain we had earlier in the spring. However I actually felt better all summer and it has to be because of the Filtrete filters that I have stared using. You have a customer for life.

We used Filtrete furnace filters for years. A few months ago I made the mistake of being talked into trying a different brand because they were cheaper. What a mistake! The other brand jammed and bent when trying to insert it in the furnace and it simply didn't trap the dust like a Filtrete. Needless to say, we will only purchase Filterete brand filters in the future!

First two both said they were locked and I need to contact service. I didn’t want the hustle. Then it paired. A month later I checked it and not working again. Pulled the filter. It needed changing. Like first onr it wouldn’t pair. I am technically advanced. It should not be complicated. The online account only wanted my email, no password. I don’t like that. Good idea that has more work needed

We've been using Filtrete Ultra Allergen Healthy Living filters for the past three and a half years. They keep our house literally dust free and fresh. We have two cats as well and appreciate the advantage of having good filters in our furnace that we change every three months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this filter for many years! We used to buy the cheap filters and had a constant dust problem in our house. Since using this filter there is no longer a problem! The old saying "you get what you pay for" certainly applies here. Well worth the money for a clean healthy home!

Good filter. Although it is advertised as lasting up to 12 months, I feel the need to replace it every 2-3 months. I have a VERY difficult time removing it from air cleaner, as there are no holes in the filter in which to insert your fingers to grab it for removal. A simple design change would make it more user-friendly. I've found that I have to use a knife to cut a hole in the filter cardboard to have something to hold on to. Also, the cardboard strips on the sides usually get caught in my air cleaner, so as I'm removing the filter, I really have to pull hard, tearing the side strips, as I remove the filter.

We've been using The Filtrete Allergen Reduction filter #12 for about 6 months now and it does seem to be helping us with our allergies by cutting the amt. of allergens in the house. The Filter also fits perfectly so there is no noise from an ill fitting filter...we've had this problem in the past, but not at all with Filtrete. The dimensions are exactly what they state. Excellent filter. High recommend it.

Upon advice from my doctor to purchase a better a/c filter, I researched and purchased two of these. We quickly noticed a difference in the air quality, my headaches and sneezing are much better now. I am allergic to dust mites and my cats dander - I am extremely impressed. When I clean, there is far less dust accumulated on surfaces in my house which is lovely. After changing the filter recently we found out why - this filter is blocking everything. So great! We are considering investing in higher grades of the Filtrete brand because this one has done so well.

I've been using this type filter almost 3 months, and I've got to tell you that it's a great improvement over reusable filters that I was using. You can see all of the particles it collected...yes, it is DIRTY! I couldn't really see the dirt on the washable ones. I've noticed that there is less dust collecting in the house' big plus! Haven't noticed reduction of airflow nor higher energy bills. I'll continue using this filter...a little expensive to me- but we'll worth it!
