Not quite true, actually, but it was a major selling point. My stepson showed us his Open Run headphones and I was shocked by how good the sound was. That they did not stick in my ears or have large pads was a huge plus. I get 1-2 days of use out of them at work between meetings, taking calls, and listening to YouTube. Their range is good enough I can walk to the other side of my home (smallish condo) or to a printer well away from my desk without any dropping or loss of integrity. They are perfect if you can't have anything in your ears, ear buds never stay, or over the ear style headphones are uncomfortable. And I do love that I can maintain my situational awareness well 😉

I absolutely love them. This is my second pair, this pair dedicated to sport. I have sensitive ears and the in-ear buds annoy me and they never stay in my ears. The over ear style is amazing! Only thing I don't like is the drawstring bag to house them. I was looking forward to the oblong soft case with the magnetic flap closure. It's a more protective case than the drawstring bag. How can I get one of those again?

Awesome headphones, I really like being able to hear my surroundings while listening. I still have the “loud music” feeling, which overpowers outside noise, but am still aware if someone is trying to talk to me or if a car is going by. I wish the neck band was smaller. I have the mini, and it’s still too big.

The setup was effortless and as simple as setting up airpods. At first, I was worried my shokz would be too big for my head, but they fit perfectly! It’s amazing how great the technology is - you can hear your music perfectly while also hearing the noises in your vicinity while out running near busier streets. I love this purchase!

This is my first pair of this type of headphones. Have been using them for a few weeks now and I am really enjoying them. The set up was super easy and they are really comfortable as they are very light weight (I have the mini). I can wear them all day. The sound is really crisp and clear but the bit of vibration at higher sounds levels can be annoying. I gave 4 stars as I think for the price they should have come with a hard case as opposed to a bag for storage. I ended up purchasing a case from another store because I was afraid the device would get damaged during travel.

These things are wonderful, the fact that you do not have to stuff something in your ears is amazing. I am a mobile mechanic, and they have given me both of my hands back to work, and no risk of damaging phone. The range on them is what's so great, how far you can get away from your phone. Windy days are the only down fall to these, but that goes with anything Bluetooth microphone. Hands down worth every penny.

My husband owns several of the Shokz products so when I needed some earphones for work, I knew exactly what I wanted! These are wonderful to use for work as I can still hear what is going on around me, but listen to the podcasts, audiobooks, or music I choose to listen to. The bone conducting technology is wonderful as I have never been able to wear the in the ear style earphone and the over the ear ones wouldn't work for me to wear at work.

I'm very happy with my new open run headset. I had another Shokz product which I enjoyed for many years. When I had to replace it I was concerned that it might be difficult to get it set up. It was super easy. The sound is better than the old set and it's crazily light weight. I walk 5 miles almost every day and can't imagine doing so without being able to take my tunes along. It's also great when my daughter calls while I'm trying to cook dinner. No need to worry about interrupting what I'm doing to chat.

These small earphones have improved my life. They are so light and inobtrusive that I wear them all day. I can listen to music or other streaming, and easily switch to a telephone call. I often wear them in the shower. The battery life is great. Unlike earbuds, they do not block my ears, and it is not possible to lose one of the ear components. Of course, the sound quality is not equal to a set of expensive headphones played through a DAC and amplifier, but, for most listening, the quality exceeds my expectations.

The new version is a little less heavy duty feeling than the old but seems like it will hold up better. I sweat alot while running and these feel like they were constructed for this purpose. The charging port is updated and the new box instructs about not charging right after a workout. I have a feeling that was the issue with my last two that stopped working. Good so far! A little more quiet than the old version but still high quality.
