Should Be Adjustable

As a cochlear wearer, bone conducting headphones are all that I can use. I was excited to try these. I got the minis due to having multiple mastoid removal surgeries. They would be great if they weren't so large and could be adjusted for those with smaller heads. The sound is great as long as I don't move my head, which moves the headphones.

LOVE These Things!!!

I wasn't sure I'd like these, as I am a musician and want to hear my music the way I want to hear it while I'm running, but I found that using in-ears for longer runs was uncomfortable in my canals and probably harmful long-term. These are surprisingly great-sounding with lots of clarity in the middle to high ranges. The low end is lost a little more, but I was rather expecting that. It's an acceptable loss in my book for the improvement in comfort and ease, to say nothing of how much safer they are. The only other (tiny) qualm is that it can be hard to hear the turning off prompt when you're at the finish line of a race surrounded by people and music; a visual cue of a small light being on when the unit is on or something like that would be great, though I understand it may affect the battery life. I know I can check my Bluetooth on my phone, but post-race all the things are happening, and I have multiple things connected, so this would just be a bit of an added convenience.

Broken arm on prev pair

This is my third pair, I love wearing them to walk the dog but I would be surprised if this pair outlasted the other two (the tubing inside the plastic arm broke, rending it floppy but still functional), my only other complaint is on car trips it's impossible for me to have a good volume for podcasts without the rest of car members complaining that they can hear it, too

Mrs H's gift

My wife Linda now understands why I have enjoyed training with my Shokz for the past several years. The two different head sizes is a plus for her tiny melon as she plays pickleball. She just needs a little more practice linking an incoming phone call.

Get the Correct Size and There Great

I originally purchased the mini because it seemed to fit comfortably and not hang out so far behind my head. However, after a week of using the mini I realized two things. One, the sound quality was not good unless I pressed the headset to my head to get the high notes. Second, the pressure the mini put on my ear hurt after 30 minutes. So, I exchanged the minis for the regular and it made all the difference. I suspect the device needs to press flat against your head to hear the full spectrum of sounds and the mini was too tight and could not lay flat. Long story short, get the size the fits correctly the first time and don't be mindful of the bar stretched across the back of you head. As for overall sound quality, I am satisfied. I have such raging tinnitus that I am a poor judge of audio fidelity. I can say that I can carry on a conversation while listening to great background music with these. Wearing them while bike riding is also a big plus because I can hear the traffic noise around me while listening to music. It's like the world now has my favorite background music playing wherever I go.

So far so good

Sound is really good, I just wish it would go down just one more click (at least I can control that one click on my phone). I use these while taking care of my grandma, but I need to be able to hear her if she starts talking to me while I'm doing the chores around the house and she doesn't like music, it's annoying, I can't clean if I don't have some kind of emotional support noise (her house is too quiet!) I do wish the shokz did have touch control like the different buds I have do. It is a little inconvenient having to take out my phone for everything from pause to next song to anything in between. So far the signal hasn't broken up while being in my pocket as I'm walking like my usual Bluetooth devices, but I haven't done any heavy walking since I broke my foot recently. So time will tell. Fingers crossed. Now as to the fit. They are trying to slide into my ear even though I continue to position them where they need to go. And dude! My heads small. I didn't realize that until received these (ordered the mini). I guess the tragus of my ear is not shaped outward so as to keep them out of my ear? I'll keep playing with them to see

Amazing

Amazing In love with everything about it It doesn't fall out and also not in my ear It doesn't seem like you would be able to hear the music but honestly it's really loud even on a lower sound level It's comfortable and looks amazing I get so many compliments for it as well love the color also

Shorts out when sweating

Gets 1 star due to the fact that the headphones short out simply from my sweat dripping over the power/volume buttons. When this happens, the buttons cease to function - cannot turn on/off, can't change the volume, cannot pair - or even unpair. Once the device "dries out" (usually takes a week), they go back to working properly - until the next sweaty workout. Otherwise, I'd give this 4 stars. I like the bone conducting feature - though it takes some time to get used to it. Works great for outdoor exercising where you want to have an audio distraction (I suggest staying away from listening to music) but still want to be able to hear your surroundings to stay safe. I am purchasing a different model with a higher IPX8 rating

Comfortable but performance is lacking

First off let me say that there are not any headphones out there for working out that are more comfortable than these. Since they don’t sit in your ear, they don’t trap sweat, they don’t cause your ear to itch, and they fit over your ear so never fall off…. 5/5 in that regard. However there are two big drawbacks that might be a show stopper for some. Volume and battery life. If you work out in a large gym like i do the background noise is relatively high. Since these are meant to allow you to hear other noises as they sit in front of your ear holes, you need to turn them to max volume just to be able to hear the stuff you are playing as the background noise drowns it out otherwise. Not a huge issue but one to be aware of…. So if you like your music loud, this will likely not satisfy your preferences as the volume is adequate at best. The bigger problem is the battery life. I have owned 3 pairs, and none of them have been able to do any better than half of the advertised battery life. The first pair i owned i thought were defective because of the battery issue, so i exchanged them. At the same time i bought a second pair so i could use one for the gym when at home and one for when i travel for work on the plane and at the gyms there. The battery life was the same for all three. I average between 3.5-4 hours total use before they shut themselves off. So i will fully charge during the day and use them for 2 hours at the gym that night, and when i try to get a second trip to the gym the next day they make it about 3/4 through that second trip before dying. For me, my needs require good battery life, so even the fact they are very comfortable is not enough to overcome its shortfalls. So if you have the ability and don’t mind charging them after each use, and also don’t need super loud volume, then these are for you and i would recommend. However, if you need good battery life and volume than i cannot recommend these. Comfort- 5/5 Volume- 2/5 Battery Life- 1/5
