Hello, I'm an avid mountain biker! I like to hear music while riding my bike, but always had the problem with using in ear headphones of not hearing my surroundings. Big problem for a mountain biker! So after I started following Syd & Macky (mountain bikers) on Youtube they use Shoks and always refer to how good they perform and are allowed to hear there surroundings. I was sold on buying a set of Shoks! I purchased the OpenRun model. I have been using them for about six months now. I can say that they perform flawlessly! They have very good sound quality, they are very comfortable and most of all I can hear my surroundings! I've ridden in the rain, raced some mountain bike races, even went hiking with them. In all of these situation they have worked up to the task. Easy to use, love the multi function button, that can be pushed even with gloves on, you can pause music, answer/end phone calls all in one button. Battery charges fast and last very long! I raced a 6 hour event and when finished the race, battery was at mid level.

I got the standard size and I thought they were going to be to small but they actually fit perfectly. I do long runs and short fast runs and they headphones always feel secure which not something I could ever say about earbud type headphones like Apple’s and Bose’s headphones. Super simple design that is very easy to use. I could use them with my old iPod nano with no issues. I think it truly an ingenious design. Only downside is the drum sound on certain songs. Imagine listening to a hip-hop song that makes a lot of use of the drum it doesn’t sound quite as intense, my solution just turn the volume up a little. I having been using traditional wired headphones, the bud types and these headphones are by far the best I have ever used for working out.

These work so well! I know so many people who have them and love them and convinced me to get them! They stay on and fit well, connect easily, have a long charge life and work perfectly for outdoor activities and working out. Easy to clean too after sweat. So much better than pods I knew I would lose pods so these were great!

This is my third pair of shocks headphones. I love the open run! It is very light, which I appreciate, and the sound quality is amazing! I bought them initially just for running, but I find that I use them for many phone calls, too. I love the bone conduction aspect, as I cannot handle anything in or on my ears. They are very easy to use, the button for on off and skip is big, and it is very simple and intuitive. They’ve made my running much easier as I could never use headphones before. I recommend them to everyone that I run with and that I know.

I love this device! The sound is solid. The fit is precise. I use it for sports, work meetings, chillin' -- it is perfect! So why not 5 stars? why 4? The UI (user interface) is generic -- it is 2023, easy to have a button for pairing vs. overriding and multipurpose of the power button. likewise, the volume controls are so small and tough to use --- my point, 4 stars! Cannot wait to see the next generation!

The connection and set-up was easy and trouble free. I was hesitant I'd like these, eventhough I know others that use them. Others don't use them like I do, mine are connected to my two way radio at work to keep radio traffic during emergencies away from prying ears. I don't have to have the cord to tangle with or have the radio in my chest harness at all times. Run time seems to hold up to my use, even with my normal 12 hour shift. Charging goes by quickly. For the first week, I spent more time looking for the cord and an old iPhone charging block that I "put away". The bespoke charging cord makes one more thing to carry. USB C might be an improvement. I have Open Run and love them. Not just for running or walking, I use them all day long for phone calls, music, podcasts and audiobooks. Very easy to set up and control, comfortable, excellent sound quality I have Apple Air Pods and Bose headphones but prefer the Open Run. I have black ones but just gave a pair of red ones as a gift and I like that color too. Because of the small size and flexibility of the band, I can fall asleep with them, even though I sleep on my side.

I really like the open ear concept, havent typically used ear buds due to the fact i dont like anything inside my ears. Still getting used to the slight vibrations felt when audio is louder. Im a Battalion Chief for a fire dept and they pair with my radio making it easier to hear radio traffic on incidents. Ive been looking for something like these for a long time. Great concept keep up the goos work

I’ve been using these for years and this is my third purchase (I sadly stomped on the last pair and broke them). I really like the sound and I feel so much safer walking outside because I can still hear ambient noise - it makes a huge difference. Very comfortable, easy to use, and light. I like the new charging feature also.

I have the OpenRun Mini. I am really enjoying the long battery life and ability to hear while still listening to my favorite podcasts or music. Yes sound quality is slightly lower than in ear buds or over the ear cups, however I think this is a perfectly acceptable trade off to be able to hear ambient noise around myself. It makes my whole running experience safer as I typically run around area with intersections and some traffic.
