Needs better bass

The sound quality is not great if you’re looking for any bass at all. It’s very trebley sounding. The battery life is so so. However it’s the open ear design that’s getting stars. I haven’t been able to find a better headphone that has open ears. If I could find one with bass and a better battery life I would be a happy customer.

Welcomed surprise.

I had become very dependent on my Aftershokz whle doing outdoor work and driving , it was a "bad day" when my Aftershokz failed to hold their charge. But my ordered Open Air Shokz arrived. What a difference - more depth and fullness to the music, better clarity and the headset was even lighter than my already comfortable Aftershokz! You did it again. Great product. Now the question will they last longer than my Aftershokz?

I'm a fan

I had resisted Bluetooth headphones until now. Who needs one more thing to charge? But a running buddy made me try his, and I was impressed immediately. Now I use them not just for running, but also for doing tasks, remote meetings, etc. I've bought them as gifts for my wife and a couple running friends as well. I wear glasses and a hat on most runs, and sometimes the tops of my ears feel too busy, but it all works out. Occasionally, I'll try to recline while wearing them, and that doesn't work as well as I could wish, but overall, I'm a fan.

Great design

Couldn't be more happy! Sound quality is great and I can still hear around me which is essential in my line of work. The over the ear design is also great, no more worries of ear buds falling out and getting damaged or lost! Awesome product, I highly recommend. Cheers

After contemplating for a whole

After contemplating for a whole year, I decided to get these because of the safety factor. I run and train alone on the open road and trails and being able to hear my surroundings is of utmost importance. I got the mini size. The battery life is amazing; its never died on me even on super long runs. Set up is user friendly and pain free for the no techy people :-)

Not sure why this one costs more than some of the other products.

I replaced my old OpenMove with the OpenRun. On the OpenRun the charging doesn't work consistently. 1-2 times out of 4 when I pull it off the charger, it reports "Battery Low". Before I could use the USB-C cable with other devices reducing the number of cables I needed to manage. This has a proprietary charger, so another cable look after. The support documentation is lacking. I couldn't find anything that indicates that it has Multi-point pairing, so I just tried what worked before. It shouldn't be that hard to update the documentation to include new devices, or copy over the other and change the device name.

I have purchased 5 sets

I have purchased 5 sets of these, three pros and two minis, I prefer the mini size for myself, I wear hearing aids I’m able to sync these to them via Bluetooth. Great sound quality. I rotate sets because I use these for everything taking on the phone, audibles and all my music. It’s perfect for me. My fiancé also enjoyed them. My brother in law also purchased a set recently and he loves them as much as we do.

Great for hard of hearing!

Bought a pair of these for my husband because the single ear earbud he had been using for years was starting to fall apart, and he wanted headphones that would allow him to maintain situational awareness while running outdoors. He was born deaf and after many ear surgeries, he is left hard of hearing with ears that are often too small to support most headphones comfortably. I'm happy to report that these fit perfectly, and he hardly notices he is wearing them. The sound quality is great, and he actually doesn't have to max out the volume in order to listen with them like he does other headphones! He was still able to have a conversation with me as well, so he could still hear everything around him. I'll probably be getting a pair for myself to wear on my own runs at this rate. Great headphones!

They Have Their Niche

The open-ear concept has its niche for certain uses. It is not a catch all for every scenario nor is there for any type of headphone or in the ear pods. Each has its own purpose. For me. I have over the ear hearing aids I wear obviously for being hard to hear. The shokz do ok with the wrap around the ear with the hearing aids though they could be tweaked a little bit for people who wear hearing aids. I also use ear pods as well. In a noisy environment the open ear concept is not going to eliminate outside noise so it will still be hard to hear your music or conversation. That is when I use my ear pod. I still want to hear my environment because of my hard of hearing so one hearing aid and one ear pod. I have my hearing aids, my ear pod and my shokz all with me when walking or riding my bike. Less noise I use my shokz because I can still hear my music or conversation and still have my hearing aids in to hear around me but in a noisy environment I put and use one ear pod until the noise subsides or if the noise is going to be a while then I just stop the music or conversation until a different time or noise is gone. I bought the shokz to try with their 45 day trial so I didn’t have to always take out a hearing aid and decrease hearing my environment and to see how they work. It works for me and I will keep mine. Obviously a noisy environment with the shokz open ear concept doesn’t work well for me but for someone who hears normally it may be fine

Great device!

First pair of bone conduction headphones. I didn’t know what to expect but they are phenomenal. Sound quality isn’t compromised. It’s a little different then traditional headphones but not in a bad way. I wear glasses and they fit right over easily. The weight plus glasses does take a little getting used to. I can’t wait for winter to end so I can test them out jogging outside! I still can’t get over how I can hear sound with them!
