I borrowed a set of these from a coworker after he heard that my hearing had deteriorated. Ear drum was ruptured and bone damaged and surgery scheduled but sitting in a cubicle was no fun… I put these on and oh my God I could actually make out detail in the music I love and actually could hear in stereo again!! Also found an app that just piped sounds from my phone mic back into the earphones, I feel like I’m some kind of super human! Sounds all around me!

The sound quality is very considered this is a bone conduction headphones. The build quality is also great. It fits me comfortably. Only wish the use USB-C cable for charging though. The magnetic charging cable is good but I would have to take it with me on the trip and if I ever lose it, it would be very difficult to replace.

I was very hesitant to try something new, but this technology is amazing. I've been hopeful for a way to 'tune out the world' while still having the ability to listen to music. This is the ticket, for sure. I love my Shokz OpenRun and would definitely recommend them to someone looking for an alternative to headphones. I did the measuring and ordered the mini, and while it's still a bit big around the back of my neck, it does the trick.

I love these headphones because they can't fall off your head or out of your ears! They especially rock with earplugs in. My only two complaints are: I wish the battery life was longer and am not sure why they changed to magnetic connection at charging port, but this attracts everything when you weld and grind.

Excellent construction, durable, and ready for the elements. For me, the fit was not good enough, they even hurt after a while off wearing. I felt like I needed to keep adjusting them to get the sound right but still felt it was lacking. Almost felt like there was just some missing fidelity that took away from listening to music and maybe they are better as a utilitarian headphone. Didn’t get a chance to test the microphone. As for the controls, the buttons seem to be well protected from the elements. I found the one button control to be obnoxious, impossible to get three button press successful on first try, which is rewind or go back a track. Double trap was also difficult. I want a button for each control, no more sharing and combination clicking please. The volume was also hard to find. Lastly, the proprietary charging cable is a deal breaker, if I forget the cable and end up low on power, no one’s going to have one to lend me. I get it’s for maintaining a seal from moisture but just jump on the usb-c bandwagon and through a rubber stopper over it.

This is my second pair of Shokz. I purchased the Mini this time and I love them. I have hearing loss in both ears, with one ear being almost total. With the bone conduction I am able to hear clearly in both ears, and I couldn't be happier. They fit well, and the sound quality is excellent! Thank you for a wonderful, life changing product.

These are my favorite set of headphones. I've tried a few different kinds but for clear sound from both the audio and the ambient noise, these are the best. No issues with whistling wind on runs or not hearing coworkers over my music. Podcasts also come through clearly. Only downside is on public transportation when I do NOT want to hear the things around me, I do have to turn the volume up a bit more. Overall really great, neat technology.

I recommend these to everyone. They don’t hurt my ears and stay on my head without being too tight. They are the best headphones I’ve used and what a great price! I use them for work to do web calls and phone calls as well as for working around the house. It took a call to support to get them connected to two devices but once I got it set up with their help, they’re easy to use.

I prefer the old style of the Air headphones. The buttons on these are too small, I had to stop running to fumble around with the multi function button when I wanted to skip a song. Also don’t like that it now uses a proprietary charger, one more charger to carry around

I didn't want black but unfortunately I needed the mini size (in black only) as the headphones are not adjustable. These are as advertised and are pretty wonderful under the right circumstances--namely, that they fit your head and you don't need to wear a hat (as my fellow Minnesota runners and I often do) because the fastener around the back will not work with headwear. But they pair easily, are lightweight, and sound surprisingly good. I love being able to hear as I run and am glad I made the purchase.
