Excellent longevity and ride, handling etc.

These tires have been on my 2009 JKUR for just shy of 8 years, nearly 38,000 miles, and the tread still looks new. I live in the northernmost Sierra Nevada mountains, get a lot of rain, a little bit of snow, and 105-110°+ in the summers. Aside from around town and a whole bunch of logging and forest roads, I'm taking it on mini camping trips to the desert, to the Klamath mountains, and I camped my way up Highway 1 from Eureka to the Olympic peninsula. I've also driven it to Blaine Washington and back a few times on the highway. Also a lot of highway driving down to the southern part of the Central Coast of California and both on and off-road and at Oceano Beach down in that area many times. I have occasionally towed a 12 ft x 6 ft cargo trailer with two Harley-Davidsons or a Harley-Davidson and a Triumph down to Santa Maria and back which is an 850 mi round trip, (and Interstate 5 has absolutely horrible craters in the lanes, particularly the right lane where I'm usually located when towing). I've also towed a few different military trailers with either cargo, camping gear, or sometimes a flatbed military trailer with a single motorcycle. I've been in the habit with my past few vehicles of purchasing six wheels and tires and I do six wheel rotations and rotate them approximately every 5,000 mi. I run LT35x12.50-17R on AEV Pintler wheels on my 4.5" lifted Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited and during the listed mileage I've been running ARB Old Man Emu Sport shocks and Metalcloak true dual rate coil springs on a primarily Synergy equipped short arm system and a Dynatrac Pro Rock 44U front axle housing with RCV axles and Reid Bros. steering knuckles and Timken unit bearings, Ten Factory rear axles and CJ Tatton double cardan drive shafts. I looked at some of the one star ratings on here and read with their road, and I don't understand how they wore their tires out so quickly. Both the sidewalls and the tread on all of my tires look absolutely excellent. Being as how these are E rated tires and the OEM tires are C rated tires, I run approximately 26 psi on the street. If I'm towing a trailer, particularly if it's somewhat heavy, I bring the rear tires up to 28 or 29PSI, maybe 30 at the max. And occasionally I'll bump the front tires up a couple of pounds as well.

Only 36,000 miles and they are done

I am on my fourth Rubicon. I have traditionally been happy with the performance of the tires however these K02's are brutal. All four need replacement having worn completely and evenly at only 3 years, 36,000 miles. Don't sit back and take it - write reviews and post to social….it is not right to advertise 50,000 miles and come up waaaay short.

Snow problem at all

How to survive in a snowstorm.

I live in Buffalo NY, one of the snowiest, iciest and whiteout-est places in the country. For many, many years I have used KO2's for my winter tires. Dont believe the lies. There are two types of tires. Spring-summer-fall tires and WINTER tires. The winter tires must have the mountain with snowflake symbol cast into the sidewall. If it aint there it aint a winter tire. At least it wont save your life in a snowstorm. Dont cheap out. The guy in the ditch, cheaped out. Next, you want thinner tires to cut through the snow. Remember those old wooden sleds with the two metal rails that always sucked because they cut through the snow down to the grass and stopped dead? Thats what you want in a snow tire. Not a wide tire like a snowshoe. You need to contact the pavement to stay on the road. I use 265-65R18 on my Sierra's and I always blow past the unprepared, wide tired or all season guys on the thruway and a lot of them are 4WD. These KO2's are a softer grippy compound with a strong sidewall to grip the curves in the road and keep you square in your lane. You will not believe the control you have. Change these out to your summer tires after the snow is gone. You will burn them up on dry pavement. That saves you money in the long run. I get at least 6 winters out of mine. They have some road noise. A hum to remind you you are protected during the winter and a hum to remind you to change them out in the spring. It is not an annoying hum if you realize they are there protecting you. Tires and brakes are the most important things in your life while you are in your vehicle. Buy the best for both. Start with KO2's. You will thank this review.

Awful

I've always ran these tires on all my trucks throughout the years, the last two or three trucks I have put them on have been getting harder and harder to balance. Just put a set on my 23 ram power wagon and they are god awful, nobody can balance him them. BFG you have one job and make the tire round. Never will purchase a BFG product again

Sidewall Failure

This is my 8th set of BFG KO2s on my personal rigs, and I run a fleet of 23 trucks at work with them. The latest set I purchased for my personal truck exactly one year ago. Everysingle tire is cracking on the side wall in a radial pattern. These are not weathering cracks or old tires. These cracks are thick enough to stick a quarter in them. Between all four tires there are 69 cracks in the side walls of my tires in a perfectly radial pattern. These tires were made January of 2023.

Best all around tires,ranch tough!

After 5 years of ranch work and driving an hour to work and back, these tires have seen a lot of work and miles and still have about 20% tread left . They have very little road noise, don't road walk and provide a smooth ride. I absolutely love these tires!!!!

These tires are awesome.

This is my 3rd set of K02"s I have purchased for my lifted 2015 Ford F-150. The same tire that came on it when I bought it new from the dealership. I like the aggressive look with great traction. I have averaged over 60,000 miles on each set. I've never had any issues with these tires and the sidewalls have a great look. Whether on the roads of Florida or out in the rough terrain of Georgia, these tire are great. The noise of the tires on the road is so much quieter than many other options out there. I highly recommend this tires.

A GREAT TIRE!

I'll tell you what I think I love these tires and you guys are discontinuing them. BUMMER … I had my first set while I've had them before, but I had my first set again in a while last year and they're the bomb!! And when my mechanics told me you were discontinuing them, I ended up with the K03 … Those are a bummer a big bummer ! I drive for the Postal Service and put on 150 miles Times five … I'm driving through all sorts of roads to gravel, pavement, snow, and all I'm going to say there is no comparison to the KO2 ! Best tire ever! In fact, I bought the last four that tire rack had so they'll get me through another year. And then I'm going to have to search because I am not buying the KO3 again. But my nephew loves that he just got four brand new tires for his old truck. The KO3 Could not handle our first snowfall, Which was hardly any snow, but there was ice so I will give into that.. But when I'm getting stuck at mailboxes with hardly any snow on them, the tires are done. I can't believe it. Not to mention, I had my first flat within less than 1000 miles And it was a screw and it could've happened to even the KO2 , Another strike against the KO3 They are too soft something is different with them and it's not just because I'm used to driving the KO2. But I do want to tell you last year I took the KO2 To baldness before I And again, I am amazed by that Tire. And personally, I had the 245 KO2 LT Last year, I think they were even better than, The KO2 255 LT …I have right now. But I do have to say I love the side wall on these KO2 And the tread is different just a tad I think. But I love the all black.

Great tire!

I bought a set of 4 KO2s on July 2017 for my F150 Raptor. The ride is good and the handling is great especially in snow. They now have close to 50,000 miles and have decent thread remaining. I'm looking to replace with same tire next Spring. I have my dealer rotate and balance twice a year and check air pressure routinely.
