These glasses don't hold up well.  The glass is paper thin.  They all developed ceacks and broke within about 6 to 8 months of normal use.  Glass quality and temper is very poor.  I've had light weight glasses (still have) that are over 10 years old and have held up.  Junk from Sams...

True to the definition they actually are crystal. I was afraid that they were just plain glass, but when they came they were very clear and without rims, so using them is just plain joy. I have looked a long time for just this configuration, capacity, and material and this set was the first one in years that met all my criteria. I am pleased that I was able to buy these at the price offered.
