I make it a point to try regional BBQ sauces. I have to say I'm not a fan of the flavor. I made a couple racks of ribs and sauced them up with Cookies. It has a tomato paste texture and the liquid smoke is pronounced. I didn't find the seasoning in the sauce to be interesting. It is a very mild sauce if that's important to you. I prefer Kansas City style sauces and even SBR compared to this. It's worth a try, but a gallon is a commitment.

This sauce has great taste, but it has corn syrup as a sweetner. There is cellulose listed in the ingredients as well as sodium benzoate (a preservative). If these ingredients don't bother you, then this is 5 star sauce. If they do bother you, move on. If Cookie's could make a few changes, I would be a purchaser again.

It's not horrible but it's definitely not good. Way too tomato pasty. The smoke flavor is odd and the sweetness tastes funky
