Most bluetooth portal speakers sound pretty bad but this has a nice full sound; better than the similarly sized Sonos speaker. As I take it to the beach and other outdoor activities, the waterproofing and dust resistance are important although I try to keep it protected anyway. The setup was simple and the battery life seems really good.

The rubberized housing is not just a thin coating it is a thick rubber housing that seems like it is built to last. All the buttons are on top and they are recessed enough into the speaker that you will not be accidentally pressing them. The sound quality is exactly what you expect from Bose, crisp highs, deep lows, and accurate reproduction of everything in between. I've used the speaker in my car, outside, and in the house and the Bluetooth connection has been rock solid. The Bose Connect app is really handy for pairing with any other Bose speaker. I've had no problems making and receiving calls and the sound quality during calls is great! If you're looking for a well-built durable speaker that packs a big voice in a small package this Bose Soundlink Flex is for you! Have used this niw many times indoors and out. Sound quality far surpasses anything else in that price range and definitely head and shoulders above those cheaper. Only thing I wish it had was a switch to roll back the bass a bit in some situations. But the bass is nice for such a small speaker! That's the reason I bought it! The blue color is a nice change to the basic black.

Bought this speaker to connect to my TV wirelessly. I could connect it to the TV but unfortunately could not get the volume to go up or down. After spending a good part of an hour with customer service/tech support, we came to the conclusion that it wouldn't work the way we needed it to. I didn't have another use for it so I returned it. It did work great with my phone though. .

I recently obtained the new Bose Soundlink Flex Bluetooth portable speaker. I was impressed with how easy it was to sync it with an iPhone and Android phone at the very same time. I was pleased with the rich sounds that were produced on the speaker. I used it to play music during work that I used to only have on headphones. Being able to take it hiking, off-roading, boating, really anywhere, and not worry about it breaking is awesome. The sound is crisp and clear, so we always hear our music and enjoy singing along. With 12 hours of charge time we never run the battery out either, so we can go for long adventures. Pairing it with our other speakers when home or out camping has been great as we love hearing our music from wherever we are. Syncing the speakers is quick and easy too. One thing that surprised me was the bass - this speaker may be little, but you can really feel the music.

I am a senior that is losing his hearing and sight. I use a 12.9 pro iPad to watch tv and movies. This speaker with its base helps me hear and not have to rely on closed captions so much. This little speaker has added a great deal to my quality of life.

I purchased the Bose Soundlink Flex “SE” version of the product without knowing it isn’t supported by the Bose music app. Bose: You are such a well recognized quality product producer! Other than the Connect App, You don’t even acknowledge this model exists! Why allow this? It just tarnishes your trusted name.

Great little Bluetooth speaker with big sound and impressive bass for its size. Place the speaker in a corner or against a wall for a little more boost on the lower octaves. I haven't tried pairing this with a twin for a more immersive stereo sound but may actually swing for the fence on this in the future.

Bought the blue one about 2 yrs ago. No chips in the paint. Great great sound and loud for its size. Knows when it’s standing up or laying down and will change its sound profile automatically. Had the chance to pair two together and was very impressed. Long battery life. Works well in hot and cold weather. Able to pair two phones at once and works as a speaker phone. I find it sounds better, and with more bass, than some of Boses older larger portable speakers.
