Instructions aren’t incredibly clear. They do not show the foam pieces when you are trying to install the side panels. The foam prevents the panels from fully covering the sides. The bottom piece where you screw in the bottom portion of the panel into your window sill should also be much longer. Ours was incredibly close to the edge of the window and the screw almost didn’t make it in. The AC unit looks nice and modern, and having an app to control it is very convenient. I don’t think it is as silent as advertised. It kind of sounds like any other AC unit.

I loved my Windmill AC, but not long after I bought it, the ground to the plug broke, rendering the unit unusable. After contacting customer service, I was delighted when they assured me that they would send me a new AC, and it arrived in less than a week. Not only is the product fantastic (quiet, and perfectly chilling), but customer service is fantastic. Wholeheartedly recommend!

love the clean looks, airflow design, intelligent controls and quiet operation. Bought three units and one failed after a week....BUT tech support diagnosed on a Sunday and had replacement by Thursday....impressive ! Would like to see settings return to last rather than default to ECO

I really like how quiet it is. There is no more sound than like having a fan in the window. It was really easy to install and would recommend windmill to everyone. I don't have central air just window units I will be purchasing another one in the near future.

I chose the Windmill 12k BTU over a cheaper, different brand 12k because of the direction of the airflow, and it's awesome and so worth it. It cools the room effectively without it being a jetstream of cold air in one direction (my window is nearly behind my couch, so past ACs have directed the blast at the back of my head). The first unit arrived and had a strange rattle in it, but we installed it anyway. Within a day it froze over with an inch of ice all over the insides. Contacted customer service and they responded super fast-- walked us through a few questions and quickly determined it was likely a damaged unit. Warrantee claim initiated, and a new unit arrived within a week. Honestly I couldn't believe how excellent the customer service was. If I need another unit for another room in my house, I'm going with Windmill because I know if any issues arise they will be taken care of promptly and efficiently. My only gripe is I wish there was a little more control within the app-- if set to "cool" the unit seems to keep cooling even as the room temp drops below the set value. It would be nice if it powered off and back on later, but maybe it switches to fan only and that's enough? It could be nice to link it with a different thermostat reading too, as it's interpretation of what temp the room is at seems a bit off when on eco or sitting idle. I imagine these things might get dialed in with some software updates. I'm also a big fan of actual buttons on the unit. If I can't find my phone I can still turn it on and choose settings and temps without any difficulty. All in all, love you guys. Great product, great company. Keep it up!

It’s difficult to express how beyond satisfied I am with this purchase. The windmill AC looks incredibly sleek and was -as expressed on the modern packaging- “a breeze to install”. Starts up quick and gets a room cool FAST! It’s hilarious to my when my guests give compliments about the design of my air conditioner, but they’re well deserved. Additionally the mobile app is everything you need with nothing you don’t; great UX all around. My roommate promptly bought one for his bedroom after seeing mine and i’m currently trying to rationalize the cost of purchasing a third for my home office. Windmill is on to something!

Beautiful and quiet! Had been lusting over it for a year and finally pulled the trigger - the phone control is huge! I can turn it on on my way home from work or confirm if I turned it off when I leave. Wifi wasn’t the easiest to enable as I had to reconfigure my settings but still well worth it.

It's ok. I didn't realize the air comes from the top of the unit with no way to adjust the air flow direction. So it may not work for our needs. I assumed since this is a higher-end design that it would have that feature. The fan only mode is surprisingly loud. And right now the remote doesn't work. I removed the tab from the battery compartment but will have to troubleshoot why it's not working. As of now, I would not recommend this unit to others if you want to adjust flow direction.

I like this window AC. It does a good job cooling my space, it is relatively light-weight compared to my old Friedrich AC, quite efficient with available settings, looks great, easy to install and easy to use with the shipped on/off controller or the Windmill downloadable app that I use almost exclusively. During the set-up process connecting the AC to my network, I had a question for customer service. I emailed customer service on a Saturday thinking I may here from them the following week, however to my great surprise, they got back to me within 30 minutes. Issue resolved and humming along since! So far, so good!!

We bought this air conditioner after several neighbors bought one, primarily because they are quiet. We are now able to keep the A/C on while we watch TV (woohoo!). The A/C is smaller than expected and is very easy to install. We love that the air blows up and not out, so we no longer have freezing cold spots but a nice cool temperature throughout the space. We're still trying to figure out the app to get the automations to work to turn it on in advance of returning home (it does take longer to cool the room than traditional behemoth models so having it on before you get home seems critical on hot days), so can't comment fully about that yet.
