Hard Noisy Ride

I was not told or read anything about this tire for my Corvette Grand Sport being a run flat tire. I found out from the dealer a few days after having the tires installed when I returned to have to lug nuts checked for exact tightness. The tire is very noisy and a hard ride.

Like a great pair of shoes.

There is a reason OEMs choose Michelin. The Tesla model S must have smooth, quiet tires that absorb various road imperfections and maintain good handling characteristics. Road noise is a big concern when driving a vehicle that has no drivetrain noise.

    2nd Set of These Tires

First replacement set of Pilot Sport AS 4 tires for my 2018 Mercedes GLS 550 lasted just over 37K miles in a little over 3 years and had hoped they would have lasted the entire 45K warranty mileage. I didn't make a warranty claim as the interior of the treads wore more than the exterior by more than the allowed difference in tread depth. We did rotate the tires as recommended by Mercedes which was every 5,000-8,000 miles. I really hope these new set of replacements will last the entire 45K mileage or more. Thanks, Clyde Toms

    Easy Ridin’

These tires are a huge upgrade for me. Comfort, handling and traction are all greatly improved. It’s the one repair I’ve made to my car that I can feel an immediate difference with. They seem durable so far, only been a week and two days, but I have noticed they aren’t all that quiet. That could be do to the materials used to build my vehicle too though.

    SUPERB TIRES. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

I bought these today 1/25/21 at 12pm and drove for approximately 100 miles and boy let me tell you. I came from Pirelli scorpion run flat tires and it is a night and day difference. These Michelin’s are on the money. What a smooth floaty drive on my 17’ X5 MSPORT. These tires are very sticky as I hear them when I roll down the windows. Very responsive steering improvement from runflats. These tires are everything. I feel much safer having my family in the car. Thank you Michelin.

Horribly LOUD & NOT LIKE the old wonderful) Michelins

I bought the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 (ZR rated) for my Lexus LS. These tires are SO NOISY!! They are also hard and you feel the shock from rough roads. They are much noisier than my old Michelin tires. However, they are much better than the Michelin Primacy mxm4 A/s which I swapped for the Pilot Sport. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID both the Primacy mxm4 and Pilot Sport. Being EV ready, they are low rolling resistance, hard rubber and LOUD. They do not perform anything like the Pilot Sports of 5-10 years ago, which were stellar tires. I am very, very disappointed. MICHELIN SHOULD HAVE SEPARATE LINES FOR EV AND EFFICIENCY AND OTHER LOW CLASS CARS, AND A DIFFERENT LINE FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT THE WONDERFUL QUIETER, SOFTER AND SMOOTHER TIR...

    So far so good!

I have the cup tires on my GT3, the Ice tires on my mazdaspeed6. And so I bought these for my '18 Model S 100D. They replaced the "quiet" Goodyears OEM at 23,500 miles. After installing the Pilot Sports, I immediately went to the Tesla Service Center in St. Bruno , Quebec for a wheel alignment. I have never touched a curb with the wheels but the car needed an alignment. At this point they are about as quiet as the goodyears. They seem to handle bettter too, but the wheel alignment helped with that too. I have never had a bad experience with Michelins. Even though I purchased them last Winter I just had them installed.

The Perfect All Season Performance Road Tire

Replaced the old Stock Pilot Super Sports on my ‘19 Z06 Convert with a fresh set of Pilot Sport A/S 4’s. Absolutely love them. Pilot Sport A/S 4’s are rated for hot and cold ambients, dry, rain, and even snow. The perfect tire for northern state roads and highways. The Ackerman effect with tight turns, hydroplaning on rainy roads and pebble showers on the bottom of the car common with Pilot Super Sports is gone. The A/S 4’a are definitely quieter than the Pilot Super Sports. The A/S 4’s may have a bit less traction on hot dry track days but I’ll never miss it. I’d much rather have the extended driving season with the A/S 4’s . Thank you Michelin!

    Hmm??

Why dont they make this in a 225/50/18 I just got a 2017 subaru legacy 3.6R Limited and they made the pilot sport a/s 3's in that size in a W speed rating, I'm looking for new tires to improve the ride and handling and everything about my car, but why should I go with a michelin if I have to settle for the old technology in the a/s 3? The a/s 4 is the newer successor with more and better technology, I got a subaru with all wheel drive so I can run a sportier tire all year long with my geographic area with occasional snow, I might just have to settle for an all season tire without a sport focus, which I dont want to do, I want an all season with a sport focus, but why should I go with an a/s 3 when there is a newer tire in the a/s 4? The a...

    HARD RIDE

My car seems to ride a little harder, than before. I removed Continental tires from my Mercedes C300.The ride sounds loud,if that makes since. But for the price I guess that was pretty good. Not to mention the warranty that came with them. Life of the tire balancing, rotation, etc, etc.

    Outstanding Tires!

I've never written a tire review in my life. I can't help but write something about these tires. I previously had another all-season tire from a certain company with a blimp and the difference between these Pilot AS4s and those are shocking. Smooth as silk ride, whisper-quiet, and traction that is amazing on my heavily tuned Audi 4.0T car!

    Amazing control

I bought a set of pilot sport AS4 to put on my car and I absolutely love them the amount of control and response difference compared to the stock tires was unbelievable and as far as grip goes I have a hard time breaking loose when I try to do it on purpose

    Mostly great

Purchase these for all-season use in California. Rode these through the recent cyclone storm with no issues. No hydroplaning and complete confidence in braking and cornering. Ride is quieter than I thought. I drive a EV so only noise is from the tires which was not really noticeable. Only thing I would change is the lip of the tire seems to offer little protection for my brand new wheels. It sits flush with the lip of the wheel and I can already foresee curb rashes. If they can bring out the lip of the tire a bit more to protect the rim, I would give it 5 stars. Othere than that, a super high performance tire. I take off fast, corner fast, and stop fast so a high performance tire is required.

    Amazed by these tires

I've had a few good tires in my life, but nothing like the wow factor of this new design. The wet traction is outstanding. This tire inspires a lot of confidence. So much technology with the tread design and the compound. I'm not looking forward to the snow, but with this tire I feel that it will not be a problem. This might be the perfect tire for the Pacific Northwest. I live in Vancouver BC and we get lots of rain. My old set of P Zeros feel like crap in comparison to the Michelin AS4. My Mustang loves these tires !!! :)

Amazing tires at first AND THEN THEH WERE JUNK

Randomly worn in a section of the tire between the centre and outside edge of the tire. Only had them on my X5 for 25,000 km Always been a fan of Michelin but this is the last set I buy. I don’t even want to attempt a warranty claim because they still aren’t worth it.

A perfect tire for my vehicle.

Excellent traction, handling & performance! Noise is acceptable; only one negative: NOT getting 45,000 as estimateddurability. Wheels aligned at purchase. However, durability is an issue. ONLY 11012 miles on 4 tires--and will have to purchase new tires in 6 months! Great warranty on tires damaged by nails.

    GREAT TIRE

Michelin finally started making my size again for 04 SVT Cobra Mustang. They quit making an A/S for my car back in 2015 and I have to put on a BF Goodrich which bounced like rubber balls on my car, I was highly disappointed. I kept asking Michelin for my tire back again. Finally they started making these in Jul 2020. Had them put on a month again and my Mustang rides and drives like new again. It handles good and rides smooth, very little road noise. Thanks Michelin, I worked at Michelin for 36 years so I know a lot about tires and These are GREAT!!!!

    Mind blowing

Had continental DWS-06 on my wrx and switched to Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. Didn’t expect much and boy was I wrong! On ramps and corners are like being on rails! I literally can go so much faster around corners and no give, no noise, these tires never miss a beat! These are better than the Pilot Super Sport that I have on my BMW, and these are suitable for year round performance. I was considering several options and brands, but in the end I relied on my past experiences with Michelin and went with these. So glad I did, I’m never looking back. Love the look of these and love how they perform. Now I can see why they’re OE on the C8 vette amazing product Michelin, thanks for living up to your reputation (again!)

Best All Season Sport Tire money can buy.

I bought this set of tire about a year ago and can say they are the best All Season Sport tire on the market. The tires were purchased for my 2021 Roush Stage 3 Mustang which has 760 HP, 670 Ft. Lbs. TQ. The car can push any tire to its limits but the Pilot Sport A/S 4 handles the power in a very linear fashion. Yes, a Pilot Summer only tire would stick to the road better if I ran it on the track but that is not going to happen. For my very spirited driving I have found the Pilot A/S Sport 4 tire handle the twisting back mountain roads with ease. I highly recommend these tires for anyone who wants the best of All Season and Track only tires in one set of tires. Unless you plan on putting your car on a drag strip or the big oval this is all ...

    Great Compromise for me

I switched from PS 4 to PS All Season 4 for my 2015 Mustang (not staggered). Great tires? Yes. Very comfortable, with good performance. Before buying I had read that the AS version gives up little in dry performance - of that had been very true I would give a 5/5 testing. The compromise in all out traction is greater than I expected. But great tires that I would recommend? Definitely and I have no regret stepping down from hard core performance (the PS4 is amazing!) for more comfort and safety in lower temperatures and even light snow. Lower noise. Either tire is a great choice.

    Rear Wheel Drive Camaro

Purchased for a 2010 Camaro V6 driven all year round in a cold climate. For the past 3 months (December to March), they have performed excellently in cold weather (below freezing) and in light snow. I will no longer be swapping tires in the summer, and will stick with these all year round. They are superior to my previous winter tires on the car, along with the previous summer tires.
