I no longer engage in terribly spirited driving (its been 25 years since racing school), but I still appreciate a superior sticky tire. I have also gained a fondness for a quiet , smooth ride, which you normally don't expect with a performance tire. I was therefore pleasantly surprised at how much these tires delivered all these qualities with so few of the usual compromises. For my purposes, this was an excellent choice, with much more grip than the OEM tires, and equal smoothness and very little more road noise. Unless you think you want a super stickey tire ( and are willing to pay the price in dollars and discomfort), I recommend the A/S 4. It looks like the new standard for an all season performance tire.

Significantly louder than the HX MXM4's they replaced. Noise starts right at 40mph and gets significantly louder at highway speeds. Likely going to swap them out for another brand as this is the only Michelin tire that fits 245/50/R17. Tire handles great but I just can't deal with the noise.

Delaminates and must be replaced before tread life. I have had 3 sets of AS3, then AS4's and ALL have delaminated in the front just where the tread meets the sidewall. I use my Corvette Grand Sport for performance driving, but these tires are rated f.or high performance. I currently have less then 4,000 miles on my tires and the fronts need replacing

I live in NJ and put these on my car in October. Debated getting winter tires but wasn't sure if I needed something that extreme. Replaced the stock pilot sport 4S (also a great tire) to get ready for cold, wet, and sometimes snowy roads here in northern NJ. Have 3500 miles on them currently and couldn't be happier. Very confidence inspiring tires in the extreme cold and wet or dusting of snow and are capable in a few inches of snow on the road. MPG is down 1-2 miles and I haven't noticed the road noise that some people mention. Very happy so far.

Bought these tires about a year ago and have no complaints at all!! They're much grippier than my old tires and are whisper quiet. Unfortunately, my MPG has taken a slight hit, but that's a small price to pay for much more confident braking and handling.

Great tire. Extremely predictable and high levels of grip both wet or dry. Very quite on the edge of it's grip. Tread life is also amazing. Other tires don't last as long. I drive hard and I don't do silly things like smoking the tire or donuts in the intersection. No sure if it is a thoughtful engineering thing but I like how you can always tell it is time to change the tires when the ride gets rough and noisy. Even my wife who doesn't pay attention to these things notice it but I don't tell why it is so noisy and she can feel how rough the road is. The crazy thing is the grip is still there. Well as long as there is yread but I am still careful in the rain because the tread depth is there so I make sure I have room to correct.

Purchased my third set of Michelin tires for my third different vehicle and Michelin continues to impress me with the quality and drivability with each new set of tires. This time I purchased as set of Pilot Sport All Season tires for my Buick Regal Sportback and the car drives better than new. I will put nothing but Michelin tires on all my cars from now on.

Terrible quality control. Michelin supplied 2 additional replacement sets and all 3 sets produced a vibration. Tires seen bouncing on the balancer and unacceptably high road force. 26lbs is WAY too much tolerance!!! 10 lbs is felt on low profile tires. No longer a market leader in quality.

I am hesitant to give a 5 star, because these tires on my Miata, seem to lack smooth steering. For example, when you just slightly turn the wheel, it jumps like it had difficulty going over its own tread?????, then when you turn back slightly it sticks and jumps. Very subtle, different then the OEM tires that were on the vehicle. Wish I really knew what was going on. Air pressure is what is on door jam. I may vary tire pressure and test.
