i bought this for a westhinghouse generator. the warranty was for 3 years(same as the generator) and from what i read, it had no exclusions. but apparently there is unwritten policies that are not covered in their documentation. why pay for something that the manufacturer is covering in the first place. the customer service was subpar. the issue was that i didn't need the generator till the 2nd year that i had it. it never started and when i contacted them, it ended up that since it never worked, it is the manufacturer fault/issue. so what was the warranty for?
