Poor Tire Thread Performance - Another Example

All four tires on a new car were recommended for replacement at 22000 miles. One of the tires was warped according to the Service Advisor.

noisey tires

I just put 4 of these tires on my 2002 T Bird and they are very noisey on all types of pavement and all speeds. I told the dealer I wanted QUIET as # 1 and water handling 2nd. I have Michelin HYDROEDGEs on my Lincoln towncar and they are QUIET and are great in rain and snow. I already spoke with the dealer and the T Bird is going back for some different tires. Thanks, Ray I am hoping I can get the HYDROEDGE or an equivalent for the Bird.

These tires improve gas mileage.

These tires improved my gas mileage by 3 mpg, they roll very freely allowing you to coast greater distances at higher speeds, they allow you to let off the gas sooner when exiting off the interstate of stop for red lights which helps to improve your mpg. Always feel saver with this Michelin tire on my car and my wifes.

Great tires, except…

These are the factory tires on my 21 Bolt, and they’re pretty good tires, good wear pattern, etc., even at 24k miles. The only real complaint that I have is the SelfSeal. It doesn’t like to hold up very well during these hot Texas summers, and have found myself having to put plugs in about a day or two after the initial puncture is removed. I think the SelfSeal is a great short term solution, but it definitely doesn’t last.

I never expected these to do this

I bought a 2017 Ford Fusion, and when I went in for an oil change, the guy said, you better get some new tires soon. I was dumb founded. I took pictures of all 4 tires, and wow, they were all cracked like crazy. Like they were 10 years old. Dry rotted. But, unfortunately They wanted to do little for any correction. 26,000 miles on the tires.

Poor Wear - Stay Away

I purchased a 2013 Buick Regal in February of 2013. It came with Michelins and I got 55,903 miles on the orginal set. I put a set of the Energy Saver A/S (235/50R17 96H) on in November of 2014. I now have 95,000 and the tires are wearing to the point they need replaced. The tires have been rotated at every oil change by the Buick Dealer which I purchased the car. I have been putting Michelins on all my vehicles for several years and have been very satisfied with the ride and performance till now. This may be the last set of Michelins that I ever purchase.

original tires on 2016 F150

original equipment, 49000 miles after 4.5 years. I live in Tn. tires are quiet , rode well and I have no complaints. They probably have 5 to 10 thousand miles left and I am wondering what to replace them with. I have been a big Michelin fan for 40 years and wonder if there is something better or at least as good.

TAKE NOTE!!!!!

Wow!!! My 235/50/r17's have 78,782 miles on them...I rotate every second oil change and was very suprised that only two of the tires really needed to be replaced. I decided to do all four since they recommed that we do all of them. Ride, comfort, and durability far out way any expense of the tires.

Great Tire

Great tire came with the car! It's gonna turn 50,000 miles, and looking for a new set. Seen some of the comments here! (you use improper tire maintenance) This is a super tire~I still have alot of tread left, I could probably go another 20.000 miles.. I rotate the tires every oil change and make sure that they have the proper tire pressure! That is key~You learn these things being an over the road truck driver! Can't wait to buy my next set..

Pleased with these OE Tires

These tires were original equipment on my 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid. The car has 54k miles on mixed driving, and about 40% tread left. I expect to go significantly further than the tread warranty. I do keep them a bit higher pressure than the car specifies. No cracking either, which is something that I’ve observed on other Michelin tires on our other cars. Very pleased.
