the seat is pretty dang heavy, but I wanted something that allows longer rear facing and the options were few in my price range. I like that this has a washable cover and lasts 10 years or more. I have two of these in the back of a Honda CRV, and while it can be challenging for the third child to snap their seatbelt in certain configurations, it definitely works everyday for us.

This car seat feels very well made and sturdy. The back is very tall and does not adjust, which would not be a problem for forward facing. For rear facing, the tall make makes it a little awkward in the car. Overall, I would recommend this carseat, especially if you drive a vehicle with more foot area room to accommodate the tall back for rear facing.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I did a lot of searching for the next stage car seat and settled on the Diono Radian. We have a small car and a younger child as well so size was a factor. This seat is slim but super comfy for our son. I ended up having to install with the seatbelt instead of the click latches because I couldn't get the tether tight enough. I like that it's super easy to pop the child into the seat instead of having to lift them over high sides of larger convertible seats or cup holders/arm rests. Super easy to tighten belt. Would buy again.

Not only was it incredible heavy and awkward, it was a VERY complicated process getting it in the car. I would not put this seat in a small car, I have an SUV and it was large for my SUV but did fit. The ultimate reason I returned it was because there is absolutely no head support! The back section is incredibly wide, and if I were to get hit on either side of the car, my child's head would most definitely thrust back and fourth like a ball in a ping pong table! NOT safe at all, no matter what age your child is. Also want to mention the foam on the straps are around the chest when in fact there should also be foam around the neck/shoulder area to prevent chafing of the neck area. If your child likes looking out the window, note that this seat base sits very low, my child was no longer able to see out the window. For reference I have an average size 5 year old female. Just not a safe seat at all unless you have a very tall, large child. Even then, the lack of head support is terrifying. I would never trust this seat in a car accident.

Seems to be made a little cheaper than the same model I purchased 3 years ago, otherwise still a good seat that fits well side by side. These seats are ridiculously heavy so are a pain to move around if you plan to use in more than 1 vehicle. The seat I bought 3 years ago for my son is still in amazing shape and I actually think it's better than the newer model - we needed 2 for twin toddlers

The car seat is excellent. I do think the manufacturers should do a better job informing the buyers though that the instruction Manuel is folded/tucked into the side of the seat though. I had to watch a YouTube tutorial to figure that one out. The price is excellent on Walmart as it is a good 100$ more on other websites.

This is awesome and makes it easy to fit three across in my little car! My son s forward facing but if it were used rear facing in a small car I reckon whoever was sitting in front of it would have their knees in the dash lol Got one for my car and one for dads

Not one to do reviews however how could I not with this? I Have had this car seat for a month and a half now, I love it! Sooo easy to install with the latches it has, I've never seen anything like them! It has a pocket on the inside lining of the cover where the manual stays which is probably my favorite feature. It's slim like I needed. Honestly the only downfall would probably be it is quite heavy but I don't travel outside of my car so it's not an issue for me! I needed something slimmer than what I had and honestly this is worth every penny! Plus my kiddo loves it and is more than comfy! Also it has all of the strap covers and buckle covers to keep baby's skin happy and not pinched. I truly love this diono car seat and am glad I talked myself into spending the money on it!

Product that came wasn't the same unit on the box, different color. Was used, crumbs in chair and bag, parts missing. Looked like someone returned a very used unit and it somehow made it back on the shelf and sent out. Super disappointed. Got a new unit and it's great. Everything I expected.

The Diono Radian 3R Latch is our third Diono product. We like the cloth material, the slim design of the seat, and the safety factors. It's also just what we need for our 5 year old who is almost ready to switch to the booster mode, using the seatbelt. The only thing I would caution, as with our other two Diono car seats, is that the height of the seat-back, and the angle needed for the seat to be rear-facing, does not allow for much space for the front passenger, making it quite tight for a passenger to sit in the front seat. If you have a mid-size or full-size vehicle, this might not be an issue.
