Excellent Tires.

I had to get new tires for my Wife’s Elantra. The Cooper CS5 tires that I had put on the car 4/5 years ago had finally gone past the point of no return. The Michelin Defender 2’s have been a great addition. So far the traction has been great considering the snow we’ve had lately. The road noise on dry pavement isn’t too bad. I’ve had other tires a little quieter, but overall not bad. Time will tell how long they will last though. It will take a few years to get the mileage racked up.

So quiet!

I replaced the original tires on my Honda CRV with Michelins. Cannot be happier. My dealer had a sale price on the set , plus I got an eighty dollar rebate! The old tires were loud on all surfaces. The Michelins are quiet and ride so much better. Plus I expect double the tire wear.

The Best

I only buy Michelin tires from an authorized Michelin dealer. The Defender 2 and th Defender LTX are my goto tires. Smooth riding, quiet, traction, and durability are second to none in my book. Also, my local dealer has a lot to do with it as well. Good people, helpful, and I've been dealing with them for a long time.

Capability In Bad Weather

Michelin Primacy MXV4s were the tires replaced by these. The biggest difference between the two is that the Defender 2s are much better in rain, snow, and slush, which is the reason I got them. My biggest concern was that they would be louder on the highway and they are not. The MXV4 is a fine tire, but these make my car more capable in bad weather.

Wears slow, great traction, low noise

I bought these tires in May after my OE tires needed to be replaced and they have exceeded my expectations. They provide excellent traction when dry or wet and my vehicle is super quiet while on the road. It's likely that these tires will last at least twice as long as my OE tires. You won't regret this purchase.

TIRES ARE OK BUT HAVE ROAD NOISE

Bought 4 replacement tires for my 2017 Rav4, tires are just as noisy as my original OEM tires. Was hoping for quieter ride, but the same. Set pressure to 32 psi, but no difference. My winter Michelins are quieter, Defenders are a harder rubber with gives them longer life, but increase road noise.

Defender 2 tires are great!

We are very pleased with the Michelin Defender 2 tires that we just purchased for our Ford Escape Titanium. This vehicle is a medium sized SUV so it is light and has turbo so it is quick to respond to changes in speed or direction. Consequently, we are concerned about the tires ability to be stable on windy highways and grip the road at higher speeds and when turning corners especially in wet weather. Since this is early spring and winter road damage has not yet been repaired, they are surprisingly smooth when going over rough roads and occasional potholes and uneven roads. They are also well priced for this level of performance.

Won't buy again, don't trust them to grip when needed.

Had to replace 2 of my T&H tires on a 2015 Sienna FWD. Traction off the line especially if wet is terrible. Because they put them on the back for h first few months it was too late to take back. Traction on these is worse than my fairly worn older tires. Who cares about how long they last if they don't work well enough to grip. Tried to see what they would do about it and same answer of take it back to where you bought them. Don't plan to use Michelin anymore.

Plush and soft

Those tires are not supporting the character of a BMW. They feel very plush, no feedback from the road, and just way too soft. Will not buy them again. I drove over 4000 miles in long distance rides. When arrived we feel still swimming. I had the suspicion checked, which according to BMW is good.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the Defender 2 tires did not meet your expectations for handling and road feel. The Defender 2 is designed to prioritize comfort, a quiet ride and long-lasting performance, which can result in a softer feel compared to more performance-focused tires. We recommend speaking with your authorized tire dealer about options better suited to your preferences. You may also contact our Consumer Care team at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST) for further assistance.
