Excellent all around daily race tire
Very good tire grip great and have decent life for how good the traction is lasted about 3years hard driving. These are comp tires meaning very soft and lots of grip which means they will not last as long as other harder tires. If you want daily tires for all year and all condition racing get these if you want a daily tire to replace the crap ones on your 100hp civic do not get these youll just cry they wear out faster than the junk hockypuck tires your used to.
Really Enjoyed - Loss of 20% of Waranty Mileage
Purchased my 3rd set of these tires. First set was actually the g-Force Comp, 2nd sets were the g-Force Comp2 sets. Both sets lasted abut the same amount of mileage. Purchased this last set on 8/23/18 with an install mileage of 143,980, and today I ordered another set of tires. Current date is 4/15/23 with mileage of 180,567. I drive about 10,000 miles a year on my Mustang. So I drove 36,587 on these tires, about 80% of the 45k mileage warranty. They have been rotated every 6 months or 5k miles whichever came first. They are all at 1/32 or 0/32 left on the tire. They are great tires when they are new, the first thing they loose is the grip on wet weather. I would spin rear tires, when trying to go from a stop sign, until they grabbed the pavement. Not a fast acceleration, just normal. This happens about 20k miles into the tire. I over all like the tire, but after the 3rd set, and all only getting about 80% of the mileage warranty, I am going to try another brand. Those tires come in Wednesday.
Excellent tire for driving confidence
I have put about 15,000 miles on these tires. Yes they are a sport tire and expect a bit of noise. With all of the information out there do your research. I have so much driving confidence in these for dry and heavy rain conditions. I have not experienced any snow driving since they were purchased in June. I still have 7/32mm of tread left. Rotate your tires every 6,000 miles for maximum tread life.
Best For The Money!
Having run three sets of G-Force COMP-2 A/S since late 2016 on my 2013 Ford Focus ST, my review will be about that previous version of this tire and not the new "PLUS" model, which, coincidentally, I'm about to get a new set of. The COMP-2 A/S replaced the OEM tires on my Focus ST and totally transformed the way it drove, and in nothing but GOOD ways! Much better grip in the dry and wet, and alleviated the need for snow tires unless things got really nasty. For my Focus ST and driving style (Spirited), I've found the COMP-2 A/S will last a good two years in daily driving duties if mounted new in November or December, so you have maximum tread depth for the first Winter and driving in the snow. After Winter is over, I don't rotate the tires and just keep driving on them normally through Spring, Summer, and Fall, then rotate them just before the next Winter (November/December) so I have maximum tread depth on the front wheels for driving in the snow again. Remember, this is for my front wheel drive Focus ST and you may need to rotate the tires differently if your vehicle is rear or all wheel drive. I then drive the tires another year without rotating and by Fall or Winter of the second year all four tires are about equally worn, a few millimetres about the wear bars. For me, that's when it's time to get a new set of COMP-2 A/S but keep the old set to use for Autocross or Track Day driving as there's still plenty of tread for that and they're still excellent in the rain. Overall, in my humble opinion, this is an excellent Ultra-High Performance All-Season Tire and the best value for the money. You can easily get two to three Winter seasons when driven daily and even use them for several more years at track tires! What's there not to like about that? Well done, BFG, well done indeed!!
Crack around thread
Have had these tires on several vehicles and my mother-in-law's vehicles. We all have had the same issue where the thread layer starts to crack. Tires are maintained properly. Great tires for rain but last about 2 years/15k miles before you start seeing cracks. Wouldn't recommend.
EvenMe, we are sorry that you have experienced this, especially on more than one occasion. We'd suggest taking the vehicle to your local BFGoodrich retailer for an inspection / warranty claim. Please ask them to call us while you are there so that we can get more details.
Great All-Season Tire
I purchased this tire for my 2014 Scion FR-S after reviewing Consumer Reports. It is listed as an ultra high performance all-season tire and it really delivered in the snow. I did not want to own two sets of tires and the FR-S is my daily driver. They performed well on a snowy day, the bottom of the car was brushing against the unplowed road. In the summer they offer great grip and the sidewalls have really good stability. The sidewall of the tire looks different but it does to give stiffness to prevent blowout on low profile.
Good grip, not too noisy but horrible tire life
I put these tires on my all wheel drive wagon and in three months I drove just over 8000 miles. The car was aligned prior to tire install and rechecked again today when I went in for a rotation and it was in spec. The rears are according to the shop due for replacement. The tires look great on the car and they are only mildly noisy. The grip is good. I have little experience in any kind of weather with these due to the short period of time they have been on my car. I'm hoping the manufacturer steps up as I am working with the shop who sold me these to get these returned under warrantee.
E350, we're sorry you've experienced poor treadwear. We'd like to get involved. A member of our Consumer Care Team will be in touch via email. Meanwhile, you are welcome to contact us at 866-866-6605 for assistance.
Exceeded expectations
Bought these back in January or February. For starters, they were great in the snow and I couldn’t expect anything more from tires that aren’t winter tires because they exceeded my expectations in that department. Next, they are great in dry weather driving, I do not drive easily and like to take corners at high speeds and the tires work together with my car flawlessly to not disappoint. I have yet to slide or lose traction in any manner in rain. Yes, they wear a bit quickly (but honestly not even that quickly), but you’re getting a great tire for the price. Also, the grippier the tires, the quicker they wear, so don’t complain about tread wear on ultra high performance tires. You just look goofy lol. There’s a nice donut media video on tires, I suggest you watch it. My only “complaint” with them is their is a noticeable amount of road noise. Again, it’s not that bad and my car is known for having poor sound insulation. Honestly, it’s a great all around tire that far exceeded my expectations in every area. The only way you’ll get anything better in my opinion would be to have top performing summer and winter tires. They were also really beefy looking when I first got them and I liked how that looked on my car lol.
Too soon to tell
I’ve had these tires installed on my VW R32 for only a week now, but I purchased them a month ago. I try very hard to get the best that I can afford. I’m frugal like that. I needed new tires for my daily driver. I commute about 100 miles a day. Five days a week. The route is paved & reasonably smooth concrete & asphalt. I live in the Midwest. So I needed an all season with as much performance as I could afford. After quite a bit of research & comparisons I chose the BF Goodrich G Force Comp2 Plus. My research sources were “The Tire Rack”, “Discount Tires Direct”, & other respected independent reviews & tests. While I do read/view some boards & videos posted by everyday “Joes”, like myself. I always take them with a large pinch of salt. This isn’t the newest tire on the market. Nor is the best tire in it’s class. However, for my needs & budget, it was exactly what I was looking for. I have owned other BFG performance tire pressure on similar vehicles in the past & I’ve had positive experience with them all. This will be the first time I’ve had them on an all wheel drive though. So I’ll update my review when I have more experience with that. In the short period I’ve had them I’ve noticed a decrease in road noise compared to my last set. (Federal Tire) They seem quite responsive and confidence inspiring. Lastly, they look great.
Fantastic tire but I experienced bad tread life.
Installed on a 2010 Honda Fit Sport 5MT at 153,000 odo miles. I daily drive with aggression all the time on the nice curvy ohio backroads. I even took a trip to the tail of the dragon and was keeping up with supercars on that tight road with these tires. They had very high levels of predictable grip in wet and dry conditions which impressed me throughly. They absolutely preform like a premium UHP-A/S should and are quite impressive. At 22k miles in the centers wore down to the wear bars but I kept using them because the outer edges had and still have decently safe tread. I'm at 26,000 (179,000 odo) miles as I write this post and encountered light snow today. They did fine which surprised me due to the balding in the centers. With that being said I really feel safe and trust this tire and more specifically its rubber compound in wet conditions. The dry preformance is quite strong. But the tread life really left me with a terrible taste and that's why its hard for me to recommend this tire without hestiantacy. Shame considering how well round of a sports tire this is.
